WSCS Officers Hold Meeting An Executive meeting of the Womens Society of Christian Service of the Methodist (.'hurch was held at the heme of our president Mrs. Ray Chapman, who opened the meeting with the "ending of scripture from Matt. “To Seek Ged's Will ’. Plans were started for the September birthday meeting when the society will celebrate its 20th anniversary Mrs. Ray Kuhn, wife of the pastor of our church at the time the society was started. Will have charge of the lesson. The Esther Circle will b? hostess. A date was set for the annual Chicken Pie Supper and Bazaar for November 16th. and a Smorgasbord for March Bth. A Mission Study "Into all the Wcrld Together.'' is planned so: January. Monday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after suffering a heart attack at Bendix Corp., in South Bend Where he was employed. Born in South Bend Sept. 28. 1902. he had lived here for 11 years. He was married to Hazel Blackburn Bedford in Chicago Jan 21. 1926 Surviving are the widow. Hazel; one stepsen. Vern Bedford, of Battle Creek, and one sister. Mrs. Mary Francis Olson, of Los Angeles, Calif Funeral services will be held in
the Nuabaum Funeral Home at । 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. V. L. Garner, of the E. U. B. Church, will officiate. STORK SHOWER Mrs. Ed Keeling was the special guest of the evening at a stork shower given by Mrs. John McGovern Jr. in her home Wednesday evening. The guests were former classmates of Martha, and Mrs. Ted Keeling. Mrs. Wayne Cover and Mrs. George Ferverda. The gifts were deposited in a pink and him- baby crib under a canopy of pink and blue streamers. Gamos were enjoyed by all. Mrs. Ted Keeling received the door prize. Refreshments Were served and a social hour followed Mrs Keeling received many lovely gifts. Beware of unscrupulous politicians too often they are on the right side for the wrong reason.
