Pony League To Be Decided Saturday The Pony League title will be decided Saturday night when Heil’s and Walkerton Lanes square cff in a game postpone i earlier because of weather, until this date. They are currently tied for the top spot with the winner of this game winning the league. Both teams have 7-1 records. The latest action found the Walkerton Lan< s Team beating Hiatt's by a 9-2 score Tuesday night with Don Ludwig pitching for the win and Jake Baron the losei This completed Hiatt's season with a record of 2-7, good for third place with Powell-Mann, finishing last with a record of 1 and 8. In the final game to he played, at 7:00 p.m Saturday, Ludwig is expected to pitch for the Walkerton Lanes against Ernie Morrison for the Heil’s Restaurant team. Models In Dress Revue At Fair Wednesday evening Sue Clajk modeled her 4-H dress at the St. Joseph County Fair. She was selected last Friday at the senior dress revue. Her dress is a brown novelty woven cotton with a dark brown grosgrain ribbon seVed from the neckline to the waistline of the front of her bodice.

Her scoop neckline and gathered skirt added to the loveliness of her dress. Her accessories consisted of a covered headband which she made of matching fabric. dark brown gloves and white pumps. Sue is 14 and in her sth year of 4-H Club work. Recently, she and Sandra Sehmeltz demonstrated Ventures in Vegetables to win first in the senior demonstration contest. In 1958, Sue's demonstration of Spicy Diop Cookies won Ist in the < runty junior demonstration contest. She has completed 21 projects. In July, .she was one of six l-H members to represent St. Joseph County at DePauw I’niversitv to the Junior Leader Training Conference. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warner C’ark. Past Matron’s Club Enjoys Outing Sixty-one members and guests of the Past Mations Club of Walkerton Chapter O. E. S spent a lovely Sunday afternoon at the beautiful lake home of the Alfred Drews. This is the annual meeting when Past Patrons and families are entertained. Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Gus Verkier, Mrs. Lorene Rector, and Mrs. Elsie Johnson as they entered the grounds. The picnic tables were centere 1 With bowls of yellow daisies and cattails. The food table was decorated with a picnic basket filled with perfect garden vegetables
and dill sprays. A delightful ;wray of food was served at 1:15 and the carry-in dinner proved as gocd as it wai at tractive. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Grete brought corn on the cob and cooked it on the grill for the pleasure of al). Local Men Attend Trade Show Three local men are attending the third annual Associated Fishing' Tackle Manufacturer's trade show which runs thru August 3 at Chicago. They are E. M. Ellictt, G. S. Parks, and S. M. Shobert, of Plas Steel Products. The AFTM. 27-year old trade association of the fishing tackle industry, expects more than 3.500 individuals representing 159 manufacturing companies, sales representatives, buyers and members of th ' press, raoio and TV to attend the exposition. New items < f tackle and close’y allied products fop 1961 will be unveiled at the show, the third to be sponsored by the AFTM. Its two predecessors have broken ml records for tackle expositions.
