□ □ I DEATH NOTICE I □ - h € laud*' Poole Claude Poole died Wednesday, August 3 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka. He was born in 1880 at Walkerton. Ind. He married Jessie Taylor who passed away in 1910. In 1913 he was married to Bertha Walter, who died in 1931 He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lois Sherland, Walkerton. Mrs. Agnes DePuy of Newark., NeW York, Mrs. Wilma Holderman and Mrs. Mary Reed, both of Mishawaka, also eight grand children. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Friday at the Bent & Sprague Funeral Home in Mishawaka. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Walkerton, where graveside services will he in charge of Walkerton Masonic Lodge. i Mrs. Theresa K. Raycroft Mrs. Theresa R. Rayeroft, S 3, of Koontz Lake, passed away at her home at 9:55 a.in. Sunday. She was born in Niles. Mieh . on Jan. 18, 1877. On June 3. 19<»8 she was married at Hammond t > Thomas Raycroft, who precedt d her in death in 1952. She was i member of St. Patrick's Catholic church in Walkerton. Surviving are a daughter Mis. .To^Oph Mauch. Hammond; a son. Maurice Raycroft. Whiting; six grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel Dulin, of Hammond. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's church with the Rev. Anthony Letko officiating. Interment Was in St. Mary's cemetery, Niles. Michigan. Children Are Guests At H. D. Meeting The children were special guests Tuesday afternoon of the Lincoln Township Home Demonstration Club. There were 32 members and 16 children present for a pot luck dinner held at Place Park. Hostesses besides Mrs. Steele Were Mrs. George Seitz. Mrs. Howard Tuttle and Mrs. Harry Malstaff. Bridge Out On County Line Road A bridge over Fine Creek, on the County Line Road between I S. 6, and the Teegarden road, is out and cars cannot pass oven it. The St. Joseph County Highway Department has posted barricades and lanterns at this crossing. but they Were thrown from the road the other night by someone, leaving this very bad crossing unmarked. The bridge is scheduled for repair in the very near future, but until then, it is completely impassable. 4-H NEWS The 4-H clubs will be well represented at the 34th annual St. Joseph County Fair which runs from the 2nd to 6th of August. Almost every member of rhe Lincoln Township dubs has at least one project showing at the fair. fair which staits daily at lO o<) a.m. running thru to midnight. Highlights are as follows: Aug. 3. 9:00 p.m. 4-rs Home Economics Dress Revue in front of the grandstand. Aug. 4, 7-9 p.m., beef shcW in front of grandstand. Aug. 5. 7:00 p.m., live stock sale, Don Swanson, chairman. Aug. 6, 6:30 p.m., parade of all 4-H club members. 7:Oo p.m.. 4-H Achievement anl talent show. 9.30 release of all projects. On Aug. 4th a bus trip lias been planned to leave the high school parking lot at 12:30 p.m. and return at approximately 4:30. All members who hav e completed are eligible tc go. Saturday, Aug. 6th, all members are to meet at the South Ironwood entrance at 6:00 p.m. for the parade. A senior club picnic has been planned for Aug. 15th from 12 noon to .8 p.m. Dues must be PAID. SI ITT RS BURNS Mrs. Roy Kaser, North Liberty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rell, R. R. Walkerton, suffered painful burns Wednesday evening when a gas stove turned on by children exploded when she went to light it. She is a patient in Memorial hospital. South Bend.
