Miss Linda Frailey spent last week in Indianapolis with her sister, Priscilla. Mr. and Mis. Harry Mechling and family enjoyed a family gettogether Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Gebert, Larwill, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Klinedinst attended a dinner at Shori's restaurant in honor of their sister-in-law, Mrs. Edna Kimedinst. of Chautauqua, New York. Mis. Amel Schultz and Mrs. Edgar Houser returned Wednesday after spending two weeks in Tucson, Ariz. They were guests of Otto Schultz and family, former Walkerton residents. They attended the High Sehoc 1 graduation of Dennis Schultz. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Capek and family were Mr. and Mrs. James Capek Sr., of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald of Walkerton. They celebrated the birthday of James Jr. Mrs. Fred Kopenhoffet Sr., of Grovertown. entertained last Thursday evening in honor of the birthday of her husband, Fred. Those enjoying dinner at Don and Marie's restaurant near Culver were Mr. an ri Mrs. Fred Kopenhoffer Jr. and daughter Cindy, of Grovertown; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sehaunaman, Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hannagen and Mr. and Mrs. Newton Williams and the honor guest. The group returned to the Kopenhoffer home for the remainder of the evening.
Chester Kubit and Dennis 1 Guard have returned after spending a week at Ball State College. Miss Judy UHery, Walkerton, and Miss Donna Bergstrom, G:o---vertown, will leave Saturday for Girls State at Bloomington. They will return July 3. Koontz will remain with Mis .Slick all week. OPEN HOUSE Mr. and Mrs. Lee Chapman, Kenny and Laurie, held open house Saturday night, following the Legion parade. Guests were members of the Maple City Cadets, Drum and Bugle Corps and their parents. Kenny and Laurie are members of the Cadets. Approximately 45 guests were present to enjoy refreshments, dancing and games. The Cadets were trophy winners in the parade. The next appearance of* the Cadets will be in LaPoi te and Harvey, HL. on July 4. They will wear their new uniforms foi’ these two parades. The Harvey parade will be in competition.
