Mrs. Jack Evans and sons, Tom and Jeff, were overnight guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Williams. Mr. and Mrs. James Capok and children and Mr. and Mis. Dallas Fitzgerald, were Monday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sullivan, of Indianapolis, are the parents of a son born Monday. Mrs. Sullivan is the former Pat Kennedy. Mr. and Mrs. Chharlie Steinl-c and Mrs. Elsie Johnson spent Sunday in South Bend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Stahly and family. They celebrated the birthday of Lamar. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Erbaugh and Mr. and Mrs. Amos Hunt have returned after spending a week in Florida. Mrs. Roush is convalescing after having suffered a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Morris are entertaining the former’s brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Morris, of Omaha, Neb., for two weeks at the Blaine farm. Mrs. Leonard Beaty and her mother, Mrs. C. W. Campbell of Belle Center', Ohio, were luncheon guests of Mrs. Loyd Freeland of near South Bend Tuesday. OPEN HOUSE An open house was held on Sunday, May 29, for graduate Roger Spier at the home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Spier Jr. The gift table was, decorated with white and light blue streamers with a bouquet of blue and white carnations as a center piece. Cake, ice cream, punch and coffee were seized by Mrs. Dean Zellers and Mrs. Glenn Stahly. The guest of honor received many gifts. There were about 60 guests present.
