CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PLANS GALA LADIES NIGHT

Plans have been completed for the annual Ladies’ Night, of the Walkerton Chamber of Commerce which will be held on Thursday’ May 5, at the Walkerton High School Gym. The program is under the direction of James Reed. Two groups will provide the entertainment for the evening which commences with tAe dinner at 6:30 p.m. promptly. The program will vary in style, but be high in entertainment for the group this year, from those of the past few years. The Swing Choir, of the LaPorte High School will perform first and they have been a tremendous hit wherever they appear. Their musical talents are very good and will be well worth the time of the evening alone. Following the Choir, the Avonettes, of South Bend, will perform also. Thia also is a well established group that will completely entertain with their type of program. The LaPorte High School Swing Choir under the direction of Ted Klinka, is now in its sixth year of presenting its wide variety of music to audiences both in and out of the state of Indiana. Voting Sites For 3 Precincts Named Tuesday is Election Day. Yes, Tuesday, Muy 3, is the day of the primary election in Indiana. This vote will select the candidates to oppose each other in the fall election with the minimum number from each party being selected in the primary. Appearing on the ballot at this primary are candidates from th« President of the United States, to delegates to the state convention. This list includes National, state, county and local names.
