LIFELINES WHY WE HAVE EASTER The Gospels give us the account of the Crucification of Christ. But they do not leave Him on the cross or in the grave. On the Third Day He anise from the dead and showed himself unto His disciples and friends. There could be no doubt that “He is risen". ” Jesus said unto Thomas, "Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed." Are you among the group who believe even though you did not have the privilege of meeting Him in person cm that first Easter? Easter, then is not a new outfit to wear, nor a big ham dinner, nor bunnies, or baby chicks, or Easter eggs Easter is a symbol of a great spiritual work (fompleted. Death whs conquered once for all time on that first great Easter Day. We celebrate it at a time of year when newness of life is springing forth tn the world of nature about us. created by God in the Living plan of the universe at the beginning of time. All these are a symbol of the true celebration of EASTER. Ministers of Walkerton and Koontz Lake
