Oh Johnny", by Mr. Jones. The other officers were installed and seated in their respective stations and Mr. Jones sang a song to the tune of "Side By Side". The installing marshal •then proclaimed the officers duly installed and Mrs. Mellin intro-
duced her prompter, Mrs. Glenn Stahly; soloists, Mrs. John McCombs and Dr. Elliott Fresh; reporter, Mrs Wm. Steinwald and Star Dust reporter, Mrs. Walter Jackson. She also introduced her three little sons who had presented her with a gavel; her parents and other relatives. Dave then introduced his parents and other relatives as did Mrs. Dipe.rt and John McCombs. Mrs. Glenn Stahly was then presented her Past Matron's pin hy Mrs. LaMar Stahly. her "Star Mom" and Al Drews presented A. J. Daniels with his Past Patron's jewel. They were then escort cd behind the altar to sign the Holy Bible's Memory Page while Mr. Jones sang. "Tenderly H e Watches Over You." Dr. Wolfe then gave an interesting talk on the hundredth year of Eastern Star, an order with millions of numbers and over 15,000 chapters. He also told of the origin of their ritual, which was written by a bedridden min ister of the gospel in fourteen days. JHe stressed the fact that this man, although ill with arthritis, was inspired to write this beautiful book by the same one who inspired the writers of the sixty-six books of the Holy Bible Mrs. Mellin then gave a lovely poem, "God Make Me Worthy of My Friends". While the officers formed the cross. Dr. Frash then sang, "Beneath the Cross ’, after which they marched out. i The Chapter Room was decorated with angel vases filled with pink carnations and green foliage on each of the pedestals. In foont of the Worthy Matron's place in the East, stood a large white shadw-box which held a love'y white "Broken Column" backed with blue interspersed with tiny silver stars. The drape in back of the Worthy Matron's chair held the words "A Trustful Faith" in large white letters-—her motto. Refreshments were served in the dining room which was decorated with gold stars on the walls and large gold lace with pink angels suspended from the ceiling. The

Above the table was a white sugar-pjum angel with crystal candelabra and pink tapers.

Officers tables were white with pink on gold streamers with a centerpiece of two white papier mache doves and lighted tapers Officers places were found by sty rofoam angels with names in golo and a sniffor with a pink carnation at each place.
