Mrs Ray Chapman. opened the January meeting of the Women's Society of Christian Service with a prayer. We then sang "No East or West", accompanied by Mrs Grace Atwood at the organ. An invitation from the Sumption Prairie Methodist Church Society was read, inviting Us to attend a luncheon and meeting the third Wednesday in April. Rev. Tunis reported on our ' Study of Africa, which has been । hold for three Sunday nights in January He urged more to attend I the last studv lesson on Januarv I the last study lesson on January Doty, who was in Africa and at Dr. Schweitzer’s hospital, and w-hile there took some pictures • which he will show at that time. Kemp Tunis •; of the Methodist church, left Monday afternoon for Baltimore, Md, [ after receiving word of the death of his mother Aller sixteen [months illness from a severe stroke Mrs Mollie E Rassett passed away at 7:30 Sunday evening. January 31st She was in her ninety-second year. Rev and Mrs Tunis will be in Baltimore to attend the funeral services which will be on Wednesday of Thursday. The Church services Sunday will have ns the guest minister Ro\ Charles Patterson of the M*-tho dist church, North Liberty.
