Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Myers and son. of Indianapolis, were week end visitors of Mrs. Fred Myers and the Mac McNorton family. The Dorcas Circle of the First Presbyterian Church will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at the home of Mrs. Milo Slick for the first meeting of the fall season. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith and Jimmy have just returned from a trip to Ellsimore, Mo. where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Shewmaker, an aunt and ancle of Mrs. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Walter LaFeber and son left Tuesday, after spend-i mg several days with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph LaFeber. They are enroute to Ithaca, New York, where Mr.• LaFeber will teach at Cornell University. Mr. and Mrs. Venu Wallaoe. Mary and Everett, visited Rev, j and Mrs. W. C. Gray, formerly a pastor of the Church of God, in 1 South Bend. They now live at Lake of the Ozarks. Mo. the center of all fishing and pleasure' act ivities m the beautiful foot hills I of the Ozarks, The Wallaces also! visited with Mr. and Mrs. Harry < Snyder, formerly of Koontz Lake, '’ at Hollister, Mo., where they en-1' toyed a cruise down the Lake Tan- 1 ; ecomo to Rockaway beach. They'd aso visited Bull Shoals Lake and ' the newly filled Table Rock Lake. l .

Mr. amd Mrs. Clyde Riggens arc the parents of a daughter born Sept. Ist. She is the former Mary Jane Javkson, Rev. and Mrs. Isgrigg moved Tuesday morning to Crawfordsville where Rev. Isgrigg will take up a new pastorate. Mr. ami Mrs. Richard Palmer and Bobbie spent several days visiting the Mackinav Bridge and other points around Saute St, Marie, Michigan, David and Norma Crossley are visiting their grandmother. Mrs. Oscar Barney for several days Mis. Crosley will join them later in the week. Mr. and Mrs. Millard Heim of St. Petersburg, Florida spent a week wjth Mr. and Mrs. Guy Mutchler. Mrs. Heim is a sister (if Mrs. Mutchler. Mrs. Norman Fults attended the funeral of her brother-in-law, Harry Fults last Thursday in South Haven, Mich. Mrs. Ben Parlin, of Wingate, Ind., and Mrs. Barbara Kline, of Brighton, Florida, spent several days in Walkerton with Mrs. Norman Fults. Mrs. Dale Stroud is a patient in the University of Michigan hospital at Ann Arbor, Mich. She undepvent major surgery last Friday. The Strouds, former residents of Walkerton, now reside in South Bend. Mrs. Stroud may be reached] by mail addressed to Section 5 East; University of Michigan Clinic, Ann Arbor, Mich.
