I Mr. and Mrs. John Guttman ami I pon, James, and Miss Virginia Vrbin were in l^ifayette Saturday to Fee the musical comedy, "The Vagabond King." given by Purdue University. The Guttman’s son, John was one of the cast. A birthday dinner, honoring her father, Frank Dunn, was given Sunday by Mrs. Fred Harris and Mr. Harris at their home in Chiago. Mrs. Waechter is Worthy Matron of South Bind Chapter No. 2 Order Eastern Star. Some thirty memlw rs of the Right Hand Class of the Methodist Sunday School enjoyed a pay-1 off party in the chun-h parlors j Sunday evening. The affair was arranged by the losing side in a recent membership contest. Mrs. Fail Miller has leturmd to her home after undeigoing an appendectomy in Fairview hospital, I .a Porte. Phillip Bukaski, son of Mis. Arietta Bukaski, who underwent surgery in Fairview hospital, Lal’orte, April 29, is improving , Mrs. Ora Awaid was discharged from Holy Family hospital, Lal’orte, Wednesday, where she had been a medical patient. 1 Dr. George Nassef, his mother and family have moved into the \\ dliam Santa property on the south side of Koonez Lake. Mrs. Clement Dettmar underwent an appendectomy Saturday May Sth, in Holy Family hospital, lal’orte. She will probably return । home this week end. Mr .and Mrs. Edward Sienicki and family, Bremen, were Sunday evening dinner guests in the home 'of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Smith, R. R. 2, Walkerton. Word has l>een received from Mrs. Allen ('ampbell that her mother, Mrs. Perry Hartley, died recently at her home in Hollywood, Florida and was buried in Peru. Mr. CampMl was formerly superintendent of the Walkerton schools. Dr. and Mrs. V. B. Wolfe attend!ed the annual convention of the Indiana Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, which was held May 7, K, 9 at the Claypool hotel in Indianapolis. Osteopathic research, technic, and utilization of laboratory procedures wen* the principal subjects discussed at the convention. Mr. and Mrs. Manford Bouse received word early Wednesday morning of the death of Mr. Bouse’s father, Wm. P. Bouse, age 92 ,at his home in Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:00 o’clock. Mr. and Mrs. Bouse and daughters Bettey and Bonnie, Mr. and Mrs. William Bouse and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bouse will attend the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Roltert Ervin, of Ambia, Ind., were week-end guests of Mrs. Erwin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Gordon. On Sunday they were guests of Mr. Erwin’s mother and sister at Huntington, Indiana. While here Mr. Erwin purchased stock for a Gamble store 'which he will open in Attica, Ind., in the near future. Mr. Erwin has been a basket-ball coach and I teacher at Ambia.
