Under the proposed system, Mrs. Huusewife .would just call up th<city clerk and make application for a grinder on a rental basis. The city would issue self-liquidating revenue bonds which would be retired by the rental charges . . . just like the parking meters in some cities. Maybe you have read some of the stories in this newspaper about the proposed "County Unit Plan" of operating schools throughout Indiana. Several advantages are claimed for such an operation. Now the trustees of St. Joseph county who are against the movement, are fighting back. You will be interested in reading their objections to the plan in this issue. Mrs. Nellie Wills is the latest member to sign up with the “Florida—l'm Going There” club. She and her boy, Bill, and Hortense are leaving Sunday, <hc latter going to Arizona. “Adventure—that’s Scouting!” is the theme selected by the Boy Scouts for their 39th anniversary which the nation will observe next week, Feb. 6-12. There seems to be an urge in every lad for adventure of some kind and just “giving him something to do” doesn’t always satisfy that urge. Parents of boys will do well to encourage them to become interested in Scouting. It has a great program!
