^B^o®#*^^ — - F I ^CORWCK-DEOTwTTfI Pride of Possession No farm boy ever thrilled to the touch of a pair of lines whose main function was to slap the bony rumps of a pair of decrepit bays of uncertain age and ancestry and whose chief interest in life is to stand with drooping heads or amble across the field or down the road at the slowest rate which the exasperated driver will stand for. But the same boy behind a sleek team with a fair allowance of spirit or on the seat of a smoothly running tractor and his interest in the farm and his daily task will turn from sullen dislike to keen enjoyment in the art of accomplishment. — Pride of possession of the tools of one’s craft, or love of the farm is not likely to be developed by a herd of runty pigs or a piece of farm machinery toggled together with bailing wire, only half doing the task which in the dim past it performed with efficiency and speed. “Yes, sir, we are equipping our farm the McCormick-Deering way as fast as we can.”
In spite of everything the corn borer is still! advancing. Several more counties and a number of townships have been added to the corn borer infested area of Northern Indiana. Let us do everything we can to hold down ' this menace. Cut your corn close to the ground, destroy all stalks, either with a silo or shredder. A corn binder will tak“ the backache out of the work too We have one ready. Come in and see it!!! —

Father and Son to Equip > Farm the McCormick Deering Way Inman Whitmer gave his neighbors a pleasant surprise last week when our delivery truck delivered for him a brand new Farmall trac tor with wide shells, and a two bottom plow Mr. Whitmer is starting his farming operations in the right way. As time goes on he can add to his equipment implements such as two row cultivators, a Farmall mower, power binder and other farming tools to be used in connection with Farmall which same are in the process of development. One man with a Farmall can do more work than two men with teams.
