In the “Looking Backward 43 Years,’’ column of the Westville Indicator the following was found: “That our grist mill has a good reputation is very apparent from the following: A man living four miles west o f Valparaiso came here with his grist last Monday. Mr. Dolman has just such a reputation all over the county.’’ The Mr. Dolman referred to was Joseph Dolman, father and grandfather of J. F. and D. H. ' Dolman, now owners and operators of the old Koontz mill at Koontz lake. The Dolmans have been millers for many generations hack and have always been known for their fine products.
