Shej was married to Ira F. Place March। 28 1871 and they came to Indian I To this union two children wer I born, Ira F. Place and Mrs. Jenni Wolfe who reside in Walkerton. Ir E. Place, the husband passed awa August 2-1 1912. They were hot lite long members of the Presbyter ian church and to their efforts mncil credit for the building of the loca I church here canbe assigned. Although! she had nearly reached the age cC i ninety years she was yet in possesion: iot most of her faculties and will ba very much missed bythose who enjoy ed a talk with her regarding happen ings of many years ago.

Row an Rosanna I’latz daughter of David and Anna I’latz was born in Holmes county, Ohio. Oct. 23, 1840, and died at the home of her daughter at Hammond. Ind., May 28. 1921. aged B<> years, 7 months. In 1857 she was united in marriage to Hiram Rowan who proceeded her in death in 18S9j Three children were born, om dyin j in infancy. Mrs. Rowan was a mem her of the Episcopal church in whic ' faith she was steadfast. Two children ar* left to mourn iter passing: Mrs I Carl G. Russell of Hammond, an W. S. Rowan of North Liberty. Tw grandchildren and three great grand children, one sister. Mrs. Mar i Wright of North Liberty. The Rev । Peter Langendorf read the buria | service of the church. Rev.
