TYNER. Miss Eva Williams is visiting with her aunt, Mrs. Nellie Haag, who is at Inwood with her husband while ho is on the railroad. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Rensberger and family, from near Walkerton, visited Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johnson last Sunday. Dan Beagles, Charlie Stoneburner and Ralph Johnson went to Michigan City last Sunday. Rube McKesson has moved into Newt Girard's property he recently purchased of Mrs. M. M. Sherwood. Mrs. A. Bash returned last Thursday to her former home at Burkett after visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Ed Wilcox. Ed Wilcox has moved onto the old Stickler farm west of town. The peach trees are breaking with the largest crop of peaches ever known. They are selling now for 50 cents per bushel. Mr. Collier and daughter and Miss Jennie and Mrs. Frank Powell were in Plymouth last Wednesday. Samuel Deagle and mother visited Mr. and Mrs. Botorff near Donaldson last Sunday. Messrs. Meridith, Henry Jarrell, Chauncy Wright, Chase Keller, John Drake, James Deagle and Walter Jarrell went to Michigan City last Sunday on the excursion. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Foreman and family visited with their sister, Mrs. Frank Powell, last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Detwiler visited with E. R. Monroe last Sunday. Noah Williams and sister, Miss Louie, were the guests of Miss Maude Monroe last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Klenidinst entertained Mr. and Mrs. Will Fink last Sunday. At the old settlers’ meeting at LaPaz last Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Plegmon Thompson took the prize of a fine rug for being the oldest married couple at the picnic. A lady 80 years old rode horseback at the old settlers’ meeting at LaPaz. A little daughter of Mrs. Fulkerson, of near Teegarden, has typhoid fever. * Mr. and Mrs. George Plake, of LaPaz, were in town last Monday. Mrs. S. Ross was in our village one day last week canvaseiftg. Frank Smeltz, of South Bend, with his two children, visited friends from Saturday until Monday evening. The many friends of Jim Adie will be sorry to hear that he is an invalid, having suffered two strokes of paralysis. He, with his father, reside on the McDaniel farm near Walkerton. Miss Gladys Monroe was the guest of Miss Norris at Argos Friday and Satur day. Mrs. McGren and niece, Miss Jennie McGren returned to their home at Richmond last Wednesday via Kokomo. Misses Effie, Bessie and Flossie Lopp entertained friends from Tyner at Michigan City last Sunday. Claude Dawson, of Indianapolis, visited his uncle, Jop Smith, last Sunday be tween trains. M. M. Keek, Edwin Steele, Leia Cullar. Mies Emma Conner left Monday for Butler, 1 nd., to take a teacher’s course in the Tri State Normal. Henry Bray don, Harrie, N. Everybody swordially invited. The pickle factory is now painted. It looks very neat. We all feel proud to have such a nice building. '1 he pickles are not doing very well. It has been too dry.
