TAX* hoTicc.—Dr. Johnston's Cflice is in his dwel* ling, up the step*. His very extensive practice is sufficient guarantee that he is the oiily proper Physi* 1 Clan to apply to.

DR.JOHNSTON,

Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Lot.den. graduate from cue of the most eminent Colleges or the United States and the greater part of who6o life has been spent in the Hospitals of Londc-u, Paris, Philadelphia, and elsewhere, has effected some of the meat astonishiug cures that were ever known. Many troubled with ringing in tho ears and hend when asleep, great nervousness, being alarmed at sudden sounds, andbashfulness, with freqent blushing, attended sometimes with derangement of mind, were curcd Immediately.

A CERTAIN DISEASE.

When the misguided and imprudent votary of pleasure finds he has imMbed the seeds of this disease, it too often happens that an ill timed sense of shame, or dread of discoverv. deters htm from spplying to those who. from education and respectability, can alone befrlond him, delaying until the constitutional symptoms of this horrid disease make their appearance., such as ulceratcd sore throat, diseased no«, noctur. nal pains in theftd and limbs, dimness of sight, deafncss. nodes on the skin, bones and arms, hlotclies on the head, face and extrcmeties, progress on with frightful rapidity, till at l&s'i the palate of the mouth or the bones of the nose fall in. and the victim of this awflil disease becomes & horrid object of commiseration, till death puts a period to his dreadful suffetings, by aoudiuft him to that "bourne whence no traveler return*." To such, therefore, Dr. JOUKSTOX pledges himself to observe the most inviolable secrecy and, from his extensive practice in the first hospitals of Europe and America, he can confidently recommend safe and speedy cure to the unfortunate victim of this horrid dissease. It is a melancholy fact, that thousands fall victims to this horrid disease, owing to the unskillfuluess of those who, by the use of that deadly poison, mercury, ruin the constitution, and either send the unfortunate sufferer to an untimely grave, pr else make the residue of his life miserable.

TAKE PARTICULAR NOTICE. Young men who have lujurtd themselves by a cer* .tain pr*ctic« induLftoil In when alone—a habit freoueptly learned from evil companions, or at school— the effects of which sic nightly felt, even when asleep, and if not cured, renders marriage impossible, and de»troys both n.lnd and body. should reflect that a sound mind and body are the most necessary requisites to promote connubial happiness. Indeed, without these, the journey through life becomes a weary pilgrimage, the prospect hourly darkens to the view—the mind becomes hatfowcd with despair, and filled wiih ihc niclancholy reflection, that the happiness of another becomes blighted with our own.

CONSTITUTIONAL DEBILITY. Dr. J. addresses young men, and all who hnve injured themselves by private and improper indulgences.

These ajc sortie of the sad and meinncholy effects produced by early habits of youth, vli: Weakness of tho Back and Limbs, Fains In the Head, Dimness of Sight, I.ots of Muscular Power, Palpitation of the Heart, Dyspepsia, Nervous Irritability, Derangements of the Digestive Functions, General Debility, Symptoms of Consumption, die.

MENTALLY.—The fearful effects on the mind are much to be dreaded Loss of Memory, Confusion of Ideas, Depression of Spirits, Evil Forebodings, Aversion to Society, Self-Distuist, Love of Solitude, Timidity, are some of the evils produced.
