Member of the Royal College of Surjt»ons 'London,' graduate from one of the most eminent Colleges of tha United States, and the sreater part of whose life has been spent in the Hospituls of London, Palis, Philadelphia, and elsewhere, has effected seme or the most? astonishing cures that wera ever known. Many troubled with ringing iu the ears and head when asleep, great nervousness, being alarmed at sudden sounds, aud bash hi loess, with frequent blushing, attended sometimes with derangement of mind, were cured immediately.

A CERTAIN DISEASE.

When the misguided aud imprudent votary of pleasure finds he has imbibed the seeds of this disease, it too often happens that an illtimed senso of shame, or dread of discovery, deters him from applyiug to those who, from education and respectability, can alouq befriend him, dcla^'in^ until tho constitutional sympt toms of this hon'id disease wake their appearance^ such as ulcerated sore throat, ^diseased nose, nocturnal pains in the head aiid limbs, dimness of sight, deafness, notleion the. skin, bones and arms, bloches on Hie head and fnce, and extemeties, progress on with frightful rapidity, til) at last ihe palate or the mouth or Ihe bones of the nose fall in. and (he victim of this awful disease becomes a horrid object of commiseration. till death puis a period to his dvoadfUI sufferings, by sending him to "that bourne whence no traveler returns." To such, therefore, Hr. JOHNSTON pledges himself to observe the most inviolable secrei cy and, from bi» extensive practice in the first hos» pitals of Europe and. America, lie can confidently recommend a safe and speedy cure to the unfortunate victim ofthis horrid disease. It is a melancholy fact tbat thousands fall victims to this horrid disease, owingtothe unskillfulness of those who, by the use of thai deadly poison, mercury, ruin the constitution., and either s'-nd the unfortunate sufferer loan tmlimc. ly grave, or else make the residue of his life miserable.

TAKE PARTICULAR NOTICE. Young men who have injured themselves by a certain practice indulged in when alone—a habit frequently learned from evil companions, or at school— the effects of which are nightly felt, even when asleep, and if not cured, renders marriage impossible, and destroys both mind and body.

What a pltv a young n.an, the hope of his country, and the darling of his parents, should be snatched IVom all prospects and enjoyments of lift by the consequences of deviation from tho path of nature, and indulging in a certain secret habit. Such persons, before contemplating

AIA11I1IAGK.

should reflect that a sound mind and body are tlio most necessary veaunites io promote connubial hnppiness. Indeed, without these, the journey through life becomes a weary pilgrimage, the prospect hourly darkens to the view—the mind becomes shadowed with despair, and filled with the melancholy reflection, that the happiness of another bcctuit blighted with OU^OWII.

CONSTITUTIONAL DEBILITY. fir. .1. addresses young men, and all who have injured^iomiclvcs by private and improper 'tidiilgonccs.

These are sumo of the sad and melancholy cffects produced by early habits of youth, vi* Weakness of the Back and Limbs, Pains in tho Head, Dimness of Sight, Loss of Muscular Power, Piilpilation of the. Heart, Dyspepsia, Nervous Irritability, Derangement* of the Digestive Functions, Gonciul Debility, Symptoms of Cnrif-timjition. Ac.

MRNTAMTY.—Tho fearful effects on the mind are much to be dreaded Lo«s of Memory, Confusion of Ideas, Depression of Spirits, Kvil Forebodings. Aversion lo .Society, Solf-Dislrust, Love of Solitude, Timidity, &c., are some of the evils produced.
