safe, certain, tpteayjmd permanent cure
He refers lo the whole Western country to bear him testimony
This remedy has now been extensively used throughout the West anti f?oith«test for the last seven years, and within thai period has permanently cured over 200.000 cases. In all its varied f-Tms. many of which had been of from one to three years standi n». and had resisted all the usual remedies known in this country, and in no case did this medicine fail where the directions were followed properlv. Such is its invariable success that a larse number of respectable practitioners ol medicine, in various parts ol the country, use and prescribe it in preference lo Quinine and all other remedi^.
The public are assured that it is not only certain in its effects as a Tonic, but, beins composed entirely of vecetable medicines, is perfectly innocentln any cases er circumstances, and mar be ivea to females, infants, and all persons of debilitated and delicate constitutions without the least fe*r whatever ofany unpleasant effect. "fhii-medieine It composed of articles of the primesl and purest quality, and is always made by the proprietor in person, after the established forms of pharmacy, (which cannot be said of ihe many Tonics now flooding the Western and fouth western country.) and in this respect alone is rendered greatly superior lo the remedies usually prepared and sold in the country.
By its aperient and powerful diaphoretic properties, added to its tonic qualities, is rendered eminently superior to Quinine and other remedies as a general and popular Tonic in all cases whatever where Tonics are plvper to be administered. The proprietor, therefore, would respectfully invite practitioners and the public eenerally to (rive it but a fair trial, ami they will then be convinced or its great superiority over all other remedies now iu n*e for the purposes specified.
Persons living in districts of country subject to Ane and Fever, Chills and Fever, or Billious Fevers would do well to keep a supply of this valuable remedy always on hami, especially if medical aid cannot be conveniently hail.
The proprietor has now in his possession hundreds of certificates of its value, given by persons who have used it, with many letters from merchants who have cold it largely in their country, as welt as from many respectable practitioners, who have used it in prefr rence to other remedies, attesting it6 value. For the satisfaction of those not acquainted Vrith its valuable curative powers the following letters an3 certificates are given from the many in his possession:
Messrs. Wilson, Pettet Fmith—Gentlemen: The author of this letter is th® measre subject whn presented himseif at your counter, on Friday, the 12th inst.. under a complete state of debility from Fever and Aztie. You will recollect 1 took a bntile of Smith's Tonic fyrup. at jrour earnest solicitation, aud, beinc S'» very weak, I did not wish to lake any medicine until I got home, when I could receive pr.iper attention. I sot home on Sabbath mornins In time to take two doses before my shake came on. It came on at its usual hour (10 o'clock. A.M..) as hard as usual, but it lasted but ffshort time. The feveralso left me a creat deal sooner than usual. In the evening I resumed the Tonic, as directed, and only had time to take three do«ea Until bedtime. Next morning, after breakfast, I continued taking it until the hour of Aeue and Fever had passed, when I drupoed it, and was entirely free froin the disease. 1 did not think it possible for medicine to restore a person as fast as the Tonic restored me. The greatest difficulty now is to govern uiy appetite. 1 do think, without exception, it is, ihe best medicine I ever took, Moat respectfully,
Messrs. Wilson. Pettet Smith— Gentlemen: I wrote you. four days ago, requesting vou to send me more of the Tonic Syrup. I am now entirely out. and have borrowed two dozen. The demand for it is very great. In every instance where It has been tried it has effected a cure. If you have not started the parcel for me before this reaches you, eight or ten dozen of it will not be loo much to send. Respectfully,
