Read this Kxtraordinary Case. POIKT OF ROCKS, Frederick Co.. Md. June 9th, 1852, $ Dr. Swayne Dear Sir: Believing it a duty 1 owe to the public, and in justice to yon. I have thought proper to make known one of the most extraordinary cures in my own cane, that has ever been truly recorded. In the month of October Inst, 1 was afflicted with a severe gathering in mv breast, which formed a large abscess, endaimost communicated to my lungs, and very much afflicted them, and discharged large quantities oi corruption, extertal and internal. My breath could also pass through my lungs and out through the cavity of my breast with apparent ease, attended with a violent cough, day and night, loss appetite, and extreme debility, so that my phy sicmn thought my case entirely hopeless, and be yond the power of medicine. I remained in this wretched condition lor a long time, until I was wasted to a mere skeleton, and there seemed to be no hope for me but having read in the public pap ers of the mnnv wondetfu Ictircsperformed bv your COMPOUND" SYRUP OF WILD CHEliRY. I immediately sent to Baltimore lor five bottles and commenced its use. and to my great satisfaction and the joy of my anxious family, the abscess or opening in my lungs began to neal, and the cough to subside, and on using ten bottles, 1 was restored to perfect health. I feel very grateful, and firmly believe that to your valuable medicine, under tfie Blessing of Divine Providence, I am in debted lor this great change, and am hippy to say that I am now enjoying as good health as I ever have.
Yours, very "respectfully. T110.MAS DIXCN.

The »uthor has devoted many years to the treatment ot the various complaints treated of, 'with too littl* breath to puff,'and 'too little presumptionjo impose,'he has offered to the world at the merely nominal price of 2 cents, the fruits of some twen ty years most successful practice."—HKRAIJI. "Notcacher or parent should !e without the knowledge imparted in this invaluable work. It would save years of pain, mortification and sor row to the youth under their charge."—PIOPI-ENS ADVOCATE.
A Presby'erinn clergyman in Ohio, in writing of "Hunter's Medical .Manual," says? "Thousands upon thousands of out youth, by evil example and the influence of the passions, haVebeen led into the habit of self-pollution without realising the sin and fearful consequence upon themselves and their posterity. The constitutions of thousands who afe raising families have "been enleeb.ed, if not broken down, and they do not know the cause or tbe cure. Any thing that can be done so to enlighten and influence the public mind as to check, and ultimately to remove this wide-spread source human wretchedness, would confer the greatest blessing next to the religion of Jesus Christ, os the present and cominggonerations.Intemperance, (or the use of intoxicating drinks,} though it has slain thousands, is not a greater scourge to the human race. CHERRY PECTORAL
For the Cure
COUGHS, COLDS, HOARSENESS, BRONCHITIS, WHOOPING-COUGH, CROUP, ASTHMA, AND
CONSUMPTION.
Many yenrs of trial, instead or impairing the ntblic confidence in this medicine, has won for nn appreciation and notoriety by far exceeding the most snnuuine expectations ol its frieiuls.Nothing but its intrinsic virtues and the unmistakable benefit conferred on thousands ofsu/Tcrer*, could originate and maintain the reputation it enjoys. While many interior rrmrdics thrust upon the community, havo (ailed and been discaruod, this has gained ftiends by every trial, conferred benefits on the afflicted tlioy can never forget, and produced cures too numerous and too remarkable to be forgotten.
While it is a fraud on the public to pretend that any one medicine will infallibly cure—still thero is abundant proof that the CIIICRKV Pt.cr0HAr. does not only as a general tiling, but nlmo#t invariably cures the maladies for which it ia employed
As time makes these facts wider ami better known, this medicine has gradually become the best reliance of the afflicted, irorn the lo? cabin oi the American Peasant, to the palacesof European Kings. Throughout this entire country, in every State, city, ami indeed almost every hamlet it contains, CHEBKY pKcrottAt. is known as the best remedy extant for diseases of llio Throat and Lung*, and in many foreicn countries, it is coming to be extensively used by thoir most intelligent Physicians. In Great Britain, France and Germany, where tho medical sciences havo reached their highest perfection, CHERRY PECTOKAI. is introduced, ana in constant use in the Armies, Hospitals, Alms ilousesr Public Institutions, and in domestic practice, as the surest remedy their attending Physicians can employ for the more dangerous affections of the Lungs. Also in milder cases, and for children it is saie. plcasant'nnd effectual to cure. In fact, some ol the most flatteiing testimonials we receive have been from parents who have found it efficacious in cases particularly incidental to childhood-
The CHERRY PECTORAL is manufactured by a practical Chemist, and every ounce of it under liis own eye, with invariable accuracy and core. It is«ealed and protected by law from countorfeits, consequently can be rcti»i on as genuine without adulteration-
We have endeavored here to°=firrnish the com munity with a medicine of such intrinsic unpenority and worth as should commend itself to their confidence—a remedy at once safe, speedy and effectual, which this has by repeated and countleas trials proved itself to lie and trust by great care in preparing it with chemical accuracy, of uniform strength to aflbrd Physicians a new agent on which thoy can rely for the best results, and the afflicted with a remedy that will do for them all that medicine can do.
