Price, Six Dollars. Terre-IIaute, Ind., Sept. 3d 5,'if. II IICO.UM KMMTIONS. I have examined and witnessed the performance ofM. D. Wells'iSeedSotoer, andean confidently recommend it to the fanners. It combines simplicity with cheapness of construction with it ihe farmer saves much in lime and seed, and can sow any quantity ol seed to the acre he chooses, with almost mathematical precision, and distribute it regularly and evenly over the land, more so than any human hand possibly could do. I have bought a machine and farm right for my own use I consider it a labor saving, and moneysaving machine, and as such confidently recommend it HUGH STEWART. .March 22, 1853. Of Vermillion Co.

I have tested the above described machine, on my own farm, and fully concur with Mr. Stewart in respect to its utility and advantage to the farming community. It distributes the seed regularly and evenly, and determines with precision the desired amount to the acre. It is a Uuor-sa-ving machinc without doubt, one whs '.h ought to be in the hands ofevery farmer who contemplates sowing grass aeeds. HIRAM SJ/1TH.

I have examined and witnessed the performance of M. D. Wells' Patent Seed Planter, and can say that it distributes the seed evenly over the land, and is in my opinion a labor-saving and seed seeing machine, and as such I recommend it to the favorable consideration of Farmers.

Read this Extraordinary Case. Poi.vr or ROCKS, Frederick Co., Md. June 9th, 1853, S Dr. Swayne—Dear Sir: Believing it a duty 1 owe to the public, and in justice to you, I have thought propter to make known one of the most extraordinary cures in my own case, that has ever been truly recorded. In the month of October last, I was afflicted with a severe gathering in mv breast, which formed a large abscess, and almost communicated to my longs*, and very much afflicted them, and discharged large quantities of corruption, extertal and internal. My breath could also pass through my lungs and out through the cavity of my breast with apparent ease, attended with a violent cough, day and night, loss of appetite, and extreme debility, so that my physician thought my case entirely hopeless, and beyond the power of medicine. I remained in this wretched condition for a long time, until I was wasted to a mere skeleton, ar)d there seemed to be no hope for me but having read in the public papers of the many wonderfu [cures performed by your COMPOUND SYRUP OF WILD CHERRY, I immediately sent to Baltimore for five bottles, and commenced its use. and to my great satisfaction and the joy of my anxious family, the abscess or opening in my lungs began to heal, and the cough to subside, and on using ten bottles, I was restored to perfect health. 1 feel very grateful, and firmly believe that to your valuable medicine, under the Blessing of Divine Providence, 1 am indebted for this great change, and am hippy to say that 1 am. now enjoying as good health as I ever have.

Yours, very ."respectfully, THOMAS DIXCN.

A Presbyterian clergyman in Ohio, in writing of "Hunter's Medical Manual," says: "Thou sands upon thousands of our youth, by evil exam pie and the influence of the passions, have been led into the habit of-self-pollution without realizing the sin and fearful consequcnce upon themselves and their posterity. The constitutions of thousands who are raising families have beenenfeeb.'ed, ifnot broken down, and they do not know the cause or the cure. Any thing that can be done so to enlighten and influence the public mind as to check, and ultimately to remove this wide-spread source if human wretchedness, would confer the greatest blessing next to the religion of Jesus Christ, oa the present and coming generations Intemperance, (or tho use of intoxicating drinks,) though it has slain thousands, is not a greater scouree to the human raco. Accept ray thanks on behalf of the afflicted, and believe me, your coworker in the good work you are so actively en gaged in."
