Rend this F.xtraordinnry Cnse. Pol.\x OF ROCKS, Frederick Co., Md. June 9th, 1892, S Dr. Swnyne—Dear Sir: Believing it a duty 1 owe to the public, and in justice to you, have thought proper to make known one of the most extraordinary cures in my own case, that has ever been truly rocorded. In the month of October last, I was afflicted with a severe gathering in inv breast, which formed a large abscess, and almost communicated to my lungs, Bnd very much afflicted them, and discharged large quantities of corruption, extertal and internal. My breath could also pnss through my lungs and out through the cavity of my breast with apparent ease, attended with a violent cough, day and night, loss «»f sppetite, and extreme deoility, so that my physician thought my case entirely hopeless, anabeymd the power of medicine. I remained in this wretched condition for a long time, until I was wasted to a mere skeleton, and there seemed to be no hope for me but having read in the public papers of the many wonderfu Icures# performed by your COMPOUND SYRUP OF WILD CHERRY, I immediately sent lo Baltimore for five bottles, and commenced its use, and to my great satisfaction and the joy of my anxious family, the abscess or opening in my lungs began to heal, and the cough to subside, and on using ten bottles, I was restored to perfect health. 1 feel very grateful, and firmly believe that to your valuable medicine, under the Blessing of Divine Providence, I am in debted for this great change, and am hippy to say that 1 am now cqjoying as good health as I ever have.
Yours, very respectfully. THOMAS Dixcx

To which is added, receipts for the care of the above diseases, and a treatise on the causes.s ymptoms and cure of the Fever and Ague, for twentyfive cents a copy six copies one dollar will be forwarded to any part of the United State, by mail, free of postage. Address postagepaid. Cosden &. Co., Publishers, or "box 396, Post Office, Philadelphia.
This ia, without exception, the most comprehensive snd intelligible work published on the class of diseases of which it treats. Avoiding all technical terms, it addresses itself to the reason of its readers. It ia free from all objectionable matter, and no parent however fastidious, can object to placing it in'the hands of his sons. The author has devoted many years to the treatment of the various complaints treated of, 'with too little breath to puff,' and 'too little presumption to impose.1 be has offered to the world at the merely nominal price of 25 cents, the fruits of some twenty years most successful practice."—HBHALD.
No teacher or parent should be without the knowledge imparted in this invaluable work. It would save years of pain, mortification and sorrow to tbe youth under their charge."— 1'EOMX^S ADVOCATE.
A Presby'erian clergyman in Ohio, in writing of "Hunter's Medical Manual,*' says: "Thousands upon thousands of our youth, by evil example and the influence of the passions, have been led into the habit of self-pollution without realizing the sin and fearful consequence upon themselves and their posterity. The constitutions of thousands who are raising families have been enfeebled, if not broken down, and they do not know the cause or the cure. Any thing that can be done so to enlighten and influence the public mind ts to check, and ultimately to remove this wide-spread source human wretchedness, would confer the eatest blessing next to the religion of Jesus lirist, os the present and coming generations.— Intemperance, (or the use of intoxicating drinks.) though it has slain thousands, is not a greater scourge to the human race.
