PUMPS! PUMPS!

INGENUITY

in all ages has been busy in de

vising the easiest and most practicable method of obtaining water from the deep cavities of the earth. But nothing has as yet surpassed the old fashioned sucker pump. This good old principle has been greatly improved upon by Mr. tAG \N, recently in Terre Haute. Instead of the old wooden stoclt in one piecc, ho has improved the rnatorial by a combination of iron and wooden pieces, and so far altered the Old plan as by placing the plunge within ten feet of the water, to produce a material difference in the volume of water, and also in lessening the expense. Several of these pumps are now in operation in this place—two or three *t tho Pork Houses—aud give the most entire satisfaction.

The undersigned, living in the town of Terre Haute, have purchased all the improved pumps of Mr. FAG AN, and have them for sale-and are also prepared to put them in operation (or all persons who will give them a call.

THE BEST FEMALE MEDICINE KNOWN!

The Shaker prepared "Yellow Dock" and the "Red HondurasSaesapakilla," are the invaluable remedial agents from which "Dr. Guysott's Improved Extract of. Yellow Dock and Sara tpnriila," is formed and the laboratory of Dr. Guygott has given us the virtues of these roots in their perfection. His preparation contains all the restorative properties of thtf roots, combined and concentrated in their utmost strength and efficacy.

Experiments were made in the manufacture of this medicine, until it was found, that it coaid not be further improved. Accordingly we find it resorted to. almost universally, in cases of Hepatic, Scorbutic, and Cutaneous complaints for general prostration of all the vital powers, and all those tormenting diseases of the skin so trying to the patience, and bo injurious to health.
