FGVER &. AGUE NOSTRUM. *pHIS niedicine has been used for the l*st eight years by a large number of individuals afflicted with diseases usually termed Fever and Ague, Dumb Agtiei (-'Mil, or Intermittent Fevers, Jaundice, &.C., &c. The proprietor has been unweariWlin his* efforts, from Vear to year, to improve the Virtues of his Specific for the various diseases herein referred to, until he can now confidently introduce and recommend it as one of the most safe [and effectual remedies extant. The Specific, or "Nostrum," is composed exclusively of vegetable extracts, many of which, would in themselves have relieved the diseased patient, and temporarily restored to health but by persevering application to render the Specific in the highest degree valuable, some new ingredients were fortunately discovered, which by addition have, by an experimental and scientific combination, now rendered it not only a temporary relief (like other similar remedies) from diseases of a btlious character, but is warranted to effect a permanent and radical curs, when taken in conformity with the direc tions.
Numerous rertificates, as well as individual testimony, could be furnished in cvidcnce of its wonderful efficacy and never failing virtues. All, however, who are afflicted-, can do themselves no greater benefit than at least to try a remedy which experience has demonstrated as one of the most valuable in recent discoveries. For sale by

Wistill'^ of Wild C-lierry* The great Remedy for Consilmption of the Lungs,
Affections of the Liver, Asthnia, Bronchitis Pains or Weakness of the Breast or Lungs, and all other Affpctionsof the Pulmonary Organs.
IMPORTANT CAUTION. Beware of a base counterfeit of Wistar's Balsam of Wild. Cherry, signed by one VVrtj. M. Speer 0, in order to palm his vile imitation iipon the public, has obtained a facsimile of our bottle, and copied our label of directions verbatim, substituting his own name for that of Henry Wistar, M. D. which is found upon the genuine.
Retneniber, the otrtside label or wrapper of the genuine Balsam i3 a firielV executed steel plate engraving bearing the signature of Henry Wistar, M- D., and Sandfordand &. Park—nofle other can be genuine.
The Eighth Wonder of the World. Many who have witnessed the extraordinary cures effected by the genuine Wistar's Balsam bf Wild Cherry, seem to regard it as the eighth winder of the world. "Why." say they, "the Wild Cliorry Bark and the Island Moss, (the two chief ingredients of this wondeiful compoundo have been prescribed thro1otit time immemorial bj- the best physicians—but never before have cur4s so extraordinary been performed."
The reason is obvious. The proprietors of Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry do not claim for their compound any farfetched, mysterious, miraculous power. They have openly acknowledged thesirrr pie natiire of iu*-«l«Mieni3, imd only claim for their great and invaluable discovery the exclusive secret of fcrTHAT JUDICIOUS COMBINATION of ingredients which t'O to make up this richest of curative compotinds.-Cd
The most skillful and scientific physicians now prescribe this medicine in their prntfticp, while neglect of doctor's of little practrce and mean contracted minds, although they do all their churlish spirits can do to injure this—the people's favorite remedy—they are at the same time compelled tO acknowledge its innocent qualities.
HADD'JNHEI.D.N. J., April, 1843.
Odor about the 13th of October, 1841, 1 was taken with a violent pain in my side, near the liver, which continued for about five days, and was followed byjhe breaking of an ulcer or an abscess which relieved the pain a little, but caused me to throvV Up a gieat quantity of offensive matter, and hlso much blood. Bning greatly alarmed at this, I applied id a physician but he replied that he thought hfi could do but little forme, oxceptgive me some nfetcury pills, which I refused to take, feeling satisfied tiiat they could do no good.
Many
other remedies were then procured by my wife and friends, but none did me any good and the discharge of blood and corruption still continued every few days, and at last beenme so offensive that 1 could"scarcely breathe. I was also seized with a violent cough, which at times caused me to raise more blood than I had done before and my disease continued in this way, still growing worse, until February, when all thoughta of. my recovery was given up, and my friends all thought I would die of a galloping consumption. At this moment, when my life was apparently drawing near its close, I heard of Dr. WislHf's Balsam of Wild Cherry, and got a bottle, which relieved me immediately and by the Use df only three bottles of this medicine, all my pain were removed my cough and spitting of blood and corruption entirely stopped, and in a few weeks my health #as restored, so as to enable tne to work at my trade, (which is a carpenter, and up to this titlie I have enjoyed good health.

Mr. H- G. FARRELL Dear Sir—H«yiHg irt"ftiy lifetime owned many horses, I am pretty well acquainted with the diaeaSed they sa'biect to, as well as the remedies usually ajmlied, and.musfraay that I never used or heard of any medicine that was half so good as your Liniment. I would re? ccmimend it with the greatest confidence to, sll whtf have horses. They should always have it on hand, so that it could be applied immediately in case of uccident, and thereby save the life of many a valuable horse I have used it in the very-worst cases of Sweeney with en lire success also splint, sprains, bruises, galls, wounds* sore eyes. die. Two moat extraordinary cures I must meutibu in particular I got tip very early one morning, and on looking ipto my pasture discovered my favorite horse limp rrig and dragging a rail attar him. On going up close to Jiitji, to my amazement and horror, the rail was sticking in his stomach, between the flanks, to the depth of e'ght inches, and so tightly that it took three hard pulls to extricate it ftft4f which the poor animal suffered the utmost agony. I never dreamed of his recovery, and ^supposed that no human hand could save him. Jhe welt known virtues of your Liniment flashed on my mind, and it was immediately applied. By tlio next day I had the gratification of witnessing the commencement of ni9 recovery, and in six days thereafter I rode him to Peoria, as sound a9 ever, and would not take $150 for him now. The other case was this. One of my men got his legf in the teeth of a thrashing machine, and it was only by a miracle that he was not instantly killed. His leg was horribly mutilated, thmigh no bones were broken. Your Liniment was applied, and in fiVe davs he went to work ajain. rle fully believes tnat but for vour Liniment he would never have recovered. With every wish for the success of the Arabian Liniment, "am truly yours,
