SWAYNK'S COIIPOUND SYRUP OF WILD CHURRYi It strengthens.the system,.and appears to heal the ulcers ou the luncs, creating new and rich blood a power possessed by no other medicine. WONDERFUL CURE OF A METHODIST

MINISTER.

Dr. Swavne—Dear Sir: I feel it a debt of gra4 titude due toyon—and a duty to the afflicted generally to offer mv humble testimony in favor cf your COMPOUNt) SY RU OF WILDCHERRY. borne three years since, I was violently attacked with cold and Inflammation of the Lungs, which was accompanied with a very distressing cough, pain in the breast and head, a very considerable discharge of offensive mucus from tne lungs, especially upon changes of weather,:however slight.— At first I felt no alarm about my condition, but was pretty soon convinced that I was rapidly go^ ing into consumption. I grew doily weaker, and nt length was scarcely able to walk about, or speak above whisper, such was tho exceeding weakness of my lungs. During this time I hna tried various preparations and prescriptions, but found no relief—growing all the time worse. Just here I was advised and persuaded by a dear friend in Wilmington to make a trial of your yrup of Wild Cherry. I must confcss that previously I had been prejudiced against patent medicines, and I am still against those coming out of the hands of empirics, but understanding your claims to tha profession and practice ot medicine, and hnv ing implicit faith in tho sayings of my friends, I forthwith purchased of Dr. Snaw, one of your agents, a few bottles and commenced its use.

My disease^vaa at that time of 20 or 25 month's standing, consequently it was deeply seated. 1 found, however, considerable relict from the uto oi the first four or five bottles. But being publio speaker, I frequently attempted to preach with my increasing strength, and thereby ruptured thos* vessels that nad already begun to hoal in thia way, doubtleas, my cure was greatly retarded— In consequence of acting thus imprudently, 1 had to use twelve or fifteen bottles before I was perfectly restored. I have no auestion, a much smalli number of bottles wotiln have made mo sound, but for the nbow indiscretion. The Syrup allayed tho feverish habit, took away the distressing cough, put a stop to the discharge of matter from tne lungs( and gave them and tin entire system good health. I have deferred offering this certificate until nowp for the purpose of being perfectly satisfied with the permanency of the cure, nnd now that I feet perfectly well 1 offer it with pleasure.
