ADVICE TO THE MELANCHOLY. Well, tir. how have you been! Down in ihe mouih agnin! Aye, air, yau have been looking at tomething too long. Never thould do that. In a world that ia whirling a thousand timet an hour, every thing thould be taken at a glance* Get ihe aril of a thing and hare done with it.

I give you five minotee every day to look at the atara, but don't particularize for eome in thoee far off placet tend their light down long after they have been knocked out of ex**tenee, and you may be looking at a blnnk. Look out for such delusions, and act, remembering that the poetry of ihe hour, like ihe cream of your coffee, thould be freah every morning.

Oh. air, in a world lhat norer halta for a tingle moment in itt ererlatitng round of changing amusement, your amall agony it unpardonable. Why, the clouda and dark net* are part of the play. Certainly, part of iba play. R*in and snow, and chilly winds, pain, trouble and tor* meal—-these are th« variations for which you may thank God.

If there were not plainftf facta and worse figures, your little wife would aoon ba a perfect fright to you—a perfect fright. Find your bobble apd blow, but msver stop to look at the Colors. Let them butt no matter for that while your ind lasts. Blow away, there's nothing like il. If you are tir#«d, like myaelf, and would like lo look on. can only aay lhal Ihe moraliliea of such speculations are Itaxardous and if you bar# any wind left, it ia batter to die with round cheek Iban a hollow oaa.

A man wubout a bubble is flatulent and a woman withaMt one—-that'a impossible, Take my advice, air, and ta ihe world wag. If it ebooara to run off the track, let ft, and if anv comet has a mind to take ut an route lo the tun, why blase •war
