Files or Homc,*rbowhi, and believing that tlie remediesheretofore diacofered forita cniv, ara almost an entire failure short jot an operation by the ligature, wire or knife,—Dr. Humphreys has been induced to bestow' uncommon attention to the subject, with the design of discovering a remedy that would- possess the power to discuss the inflammation, and disperse the tnmelactioto of the parts, and at the same time be a mild and desirable remedy. His anticipations have been moat fully answered, by a discovery, in combining active ingredients, which in thecomposi* tion produce modified remits, and increased efficiency as a medical agent and although its base is composed of highly active ingredients, its modifications are such, that it becomes, as a composition, perfectly mild and adapted to the use of the most delicate subject.
Asa test ot sincerity and confidence in the remedy, the subscriber pledges himself to perfect a cure of Piles, in all cases that may be submitted tohismsnagement, or in case of failure -in any case, no charge shall be made for the Ointment.

The'Ointment is equally efficacious in fissures of the Anus and Rectum, a malady of which the great French Surgeon, Baron Dupuytren, in his lectures on Clinical Surgery, says: "The discovery of a cure for this disease, without an operation, would be an invaluable benefit to mankind." The following from the Rev. G. W. Montgomery, attests its efficacy in that diseases
Dr. Humphreys'—Having but a few weeks past been afflicted with several small fissures on the lower part of the Rectum, which gave me intense pain for Several hours each day, I made use of your Ointment for the last two weeks: and it haa not only relieved me. but the fissures are healed, and I am cured. I gladly recommend the use of your Ointment to those afflicted in a similar manner. Respectfully vours.
