To the Afflicted. S. A XWBLL,Physician and Snrgeon, and member of the Medical Sifiety of the couege of Physicians ami Surgeon*. (W. D. St. New York,) respectfully informs the inhabitants of Fountain county, and the public generally, that he has located himself in the village of llob Roy. Fountain county, lnd., and will most cheerfully attend to all calls or enquiries appertaining to his profession. In addition to the more common diseases of our country, his attention has been particularly directed to chronic difficulties and complaints, generally supposed to be incurable, and from his experience, believes there are but few diseases which do not admit of cure, or at least of being so greatly mitigated that the patient may enjoy a comfortable degree of health, instead of laboring under disease and pain. Being aware also that thousands neglect medical aid from an idea that their cases are remediless, or from repeated trials with no better effect than an increase of disease, &. an extravagant bill—He therefore mentions a few of the diseases which he proposes to remedy or make no charges for bis attention and services, viz: Asthma or phthisic, dropsies, general and local, nervous or peiiodical headache, consumption its its insipient stages, acute and chronic rheumatism, salt rheum, goitre or swelled neck, pancreatic and other tumours, dyspepsia, varicose veins, or diseased action of the veins of the lower extremities, accompanied with pain and swelling of the limb, indurations of the spleen or ague cakes, indolent ulccrs,&c. From his practice in, southern as well as northern States, he hopes to merit the confidence and patronage of thepubiic. Good reference on application*
