SALE OF VALUABLE LAND.
SURSUANT to an order of the Probate Court of Martin county, la., I will proceed to sell, on the I3th day of November, 1840, at public A V C T fl O . , To the highest responsible bidder, on the premises, the following real estate, of which William Harris, late of .Martin co., Ia., died seized, viz: south fractional sec tions 8 and 9 and west fractions 10 and l" in township 2. north of the base line range four, west of the miridian line of lands directed to be sold at Vincennes. The above lands are situated about 3 miles south of Mount Pleasant, la., on the east fork of White river, opposite to Hindostan, and contains 50.) acres; 2'JO of which are situate in a rich alluvial river bottom, antl the remainder good up-land. Upon the above tract of land there are upwards of 100 acres in cultivation, a good Brick House, a superior Orchaid, suitable barns, stable?, cribs, &c. The aid tract of land also embraces the Best If'uler Power in Indiana, being the falls of White river, upon which is erected 3 good grist mill, and a saw mill nearly completed. The tract of iand is we'll timbered. Term ai" ttale. A credit of twelve months will he given to purchasers and bond and good freehold security, required; but for prompt piymcnt, at the time of sale, a discount of ten percent will he made. The undersigned is also authorized to sell the above lands at private sale. The attention of .Manufacturers and capitalists is especially solicted, as the above is of the most valuable property in the West, and affords advantages not elsewhere to be found in Indiana. The surrounding country is healthy and well setded White river is navigable for more than 1T0 miles above the said lands and of course the situation is much more valuable.
