The spii it of the establishment is already well known, and if we may judge from the patronage it has enjoyed, well appreciated; it will continue 10 promote the cause and enhance the value of learning and virtue, and exert lt.-clt m accordance with the character, necessities and increasing prosperity of the country. healthy and pleasant situation, an alternate and well adjusted succession of study and lelaxation, a diet wholesome and exhuberant, a govern, ment firm, vet mild and maternal all conduce to the health, comfort, happiness and literary pro ficiency of those who may be placed at tt. Ma rv's, whose conductors wiil spare no pains to merit a continuance of public favor. The Academy is provided with ample accommodations for at least twenty boarders and sixty day sholars. The Catholic Eaith is professed by the conductors, without any encroachments on, or interference with the principles of pupils of other denominations. Nevertheless uniformity and good order, so necessary in establishments of this kind, require an attendance at the public cicici.-es of divine worship. No uniform is prescribed, but it is expected that each boarder will be provided with about six changes of clothes; dark dresses are preferable. The system of education embraces the English and French languages Authography, Reading, Writing, dammar, Practical and National Arithmctick, Geography and Delineation of Maps, Ancient and Modern History, Rhetoric and Belles Letters, Natural Philosophy and Chemistry, Music on Piano, Vocal Music, Drawing and Painting in water colors, plain Sewing, Tapestry, Embroidery, Bead and Lace work, in shortall the branches usually taught in Eemale Academies. TERMS.
