FLOKLWCF. is delightfully situated in the countv of White, on the Wabash river about eighty miles above its mouth, and is the only site in the whole intei veiling distance where a good landing for Steamers can he found either on the Illinois or Indiana side of the river. From this place the river is navigable lor tcim boats to the point of its junction with the Ohio, all times when they run on the last mentioned river; and isis the only place below the (J rand Kapids w hich is not sbject to he overflown in high water, on which a tow n could ho advantageously laid out. lion Fas creek which flat boat; descend from 10 miles above its mouth, unites its waters with those (o the W-ibah at this point. Its situation is believed to be as healthy as any on this river. A lew miles N. W. of it is the wealthy and flour

ishing settlement of Albion. The country around it, abounds w ith the finest timber is inhabited by an enterprising and industrious populat on and interspersed with farms, which in luxuiiance of soil and high state of cultivation, will not lose by comparison with any- west of the moun
