William Kamplain, late of Lebanon, St, i'lair county, Illinois, eloped with my wife Abigail Jones, formerly Abigail Van (Judder, who took with her my son (jeo. Washington Jones, aged about IS months, and also an infant child, aged about six months. They have since passed for man and wife where they have stopped. The said William Kamplain and Abigail Jones, robbed me of about 35 or 10 dollars. Kamplain is alniut 30 years of age, fair complexion, dark hair, and a heavy stout man. The woman is about 19 vears old, dark hair, fair countenance, and low in stature. This is to caution all persons from trusting the said Abigail on my account, as I will pay no debts of her contracting; and the public are also cautioned against trusting the said Wm. Kamplain. I have by the dispensation of Providence, been deprived of my sight am entirely blind and abandoned, far from my friends, by a worthless woman in whom I placed eonlidenee. This town is situated on a handsome elevated plain, on the north bank of Yellow river where the Michigan road crosses the same; the State road from Fort Wavne via. Lanortn . Michigan city, crosses said road and river. Ply mouth is 4'i 1-2 miles north of Logansport 23 1-3 south of South Uend, 30 south-east of Laporte, and 42 from Michigan city. Adioininir the town nlot a saw-mill is now in ojieration and doing a good business. The county seat on the 20th dav o July was permanently located at Plymouth, nnd ample donations were obtained for the crectionof ths necessary public buildincrs. The eonntv of Marshall is rapidly settling with industrious and enterprisng Farmers, and has as fair a proportion ot first rate land, timber and water, as any county in the north part of the State Yellow river passing nearly through the centre, and Tippecanoe through the south-east corner of the county.
