No, Dear Sir, this is not probable; and we would think it safer for good men duly to suspend their judgment, until they may have truly examined into the case. It would be more fearful for the persons that would judge these good sister, than for themselves, if through prejudice and improper precipitation, they were exposed to into, and cause to be hated, what, in the ryes of the Almighty, may be praiae worthy, whilst it actually seems so, in the eyes of innumerable people, the best at opportunity to form a correct judgment of the characters of the perions thus injured . 1 refrained, it seemed to me, in these remaiks, from any expression that might prevent the admission, in your paper, of this testimony of an old friend of the hislers particularly mentioned here; but. 1 1 1 n - t 1 i.i- t . iitt uccm oMjii'iiiiitu '--bproportion of t tie othel Institutes ot tills u l'"s Country. Will the Constellation answei ? if the Hank had not re ceived it in gold, would it not have received it iu silver? Will the bank, on account ot receiving this gold, isue one solitary note less than it would have issued if the specie had been received in silver instead of gold ? Will it cause nny diminution of the circulation of notes? .And lastly , doe6 the Constellation believe that the gold coins can he kept in circulation bi long a9 the five dollar notes are issjued by the banks? if they can, why aie they not in circulation? If they cannot, is it from ignorance, or from a willful intention to deceive, that the article in the Constellation is written? Lastly, will the Constellation publish these question, an its answers to them, if it does not, we promise to make it ashamed of its ignorance, or of something less cred itable. Will the Globe be bold enough to publish the questions, and give answers! No! It will not.
