o O Tin: yoici: or kxox colnty. We give the votes of this county with pleasure. The people have done nobly; they have vetoed the advocates of the veto President, and thus triumphantly condemned an intolerant party. There were three candidates for the legislature, and to have heard some of the opponents of Mr. Shaw before the election, one not able to appreciate the calm and dignified course pursued by his friends, would have sup posed his chance desperate. He is a man of i hiph order of talents; and when he acquires legilative experience, the county will have cause to rejoice in his success. The result altogether, is pleasing; it shows that this county will not bow t receive the joke of usurpation --that imposition will not be sanctioned, and thnt the freedom and prosperity of our beloved country, shall never be trampled upon with imrunny, oy any commnauou oi parusnus. i re-1 sident Jackson will learn, and his advieers will expel ience, the effect of their in jurious course. The people will protect their rLhts and their i happiness "all's well." Ve have the vote of Daviess county, as follows: Coventor Noble 33o Bead 40 J: Lieut. Coventor Wallace 4TC Culley l23.i.
