ADJOURNMENT OF CONGRESS. The Senate met on Monday morri'ig at 6is o'clock. A bill granting pensions to certain invalid soldiers; a private bill; and a bill granting land to the State of Alabama, were ordered to be sent to the President for his signature, the rule bfinp suspended for that purpose Messrs Tyler and Ki-ig were appointed to join a Committee of the House to wait on the President and inform him that the Houses were now ready to adjourn, unless he had some further communication to make to them. On motion of Mr. Poiodextcr, the Senate proceeded to the consideration of Ex. eeutive business, ia which they were engaged until near 8 o'clock. At 3 .-'clock, Mr. Polk from the joint Committee reported that the Comoottfc, had performed the duty assigned them, and the President informed them he had no further communication tomaka t Coc grees.

A message was received from the Senate by their Secretary, informing the House that they had finished the legislative business before them and were ready to adjourn. Mr. Polk moved that a similar message be sent to the Senate, which was agreed to. The House then adjourned, to meet on the first Monday of December next.
