Advertiser ■a 11 gL ROAD MATTERS ARE AT A STANDSTILL (Concluded from Page One) each SIOO.OO, or 90 cents on each $1,000.00. That is to say if a man’s property valuation for taxation is SIO,OOO, it would cost him on the average approximately $9.00 per year as his share of the county unit road expense for the next ten years, as applied to the roads now contracted for construction. The Geyer road, length 2.26 miles, was contracted for at $71,206, calling for a bond issue of $72,900; while the Disher road, length 2.43 miles, was awarded at $80,513, requiring a bond issue of $82,320. The total cost of the two roads contracted for would be $151,719, with a bond issue of $155,220. This means that practically $75,000 would be paid out in labor during the coming summer to Syracuse working men, at a time when other sources of employment are very scarce. A big road meeting will be held in Warsaw next Wednesday, Feb. 16. to which all taxpayers of the county are welcome. The open shop method of discussing the situation will prevail, and both sides of the question will

be heard. A program committee is at work arranging the details for the meeting. The committee as named at a preliminary meeting in Warsaw on Friday is: Orlando Meredith, of Franklin township, Milo Maloy, of VanBuren township, and Stephen Freeman Turkey Creek township. o NOTICE Notice of petition to incorporate Byers Cemetery: Notice is hereby given that a petition has been filed with the County Auditor of Kosciusko County, Indiana, for the incor- • poration of Byers Cemetery, 1 which petition will be heard by the Board of County Commissions of Kosciusko County, Indiana, on the Bth day of March,
