NOTICE FOR HEARING OP' IMPROVEMENT RpWWTION Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the incorporated town of Syracuse, Indiana, jdid on the 20th day of July, 1920, adopt a resolution that an improvement be made in said town as follows: Tha f Huntington Street in said town from the end of the ..oncrete pavement at the south ‘■ide of the alley between Main and Pearl Streets south to the north line of the Paltimore and Ohio Railroad light of way, and from the end of the concrete pavement at the • north side of the alley between Main and Washington Streets north to a point which is 980 feet north from the north *nde of High Street be improved as follows: That the roadway of said street between the points aforesaid, and the roadway of all intersecting and entering streets and alleys lying within said portions of aforesaid Huntington Street not included in the roadway thereof, be improved by grading rurbing and paving the same with re-inforced concrete, creosoted wooden block, or brick with concrete foundation, or of brick with earth sub-grade, from curb line to curb line, to the uniform width of twelve z l2) feet on each side of a concrete Township i roadway from the end of the concrete pavement at the south side of the alley between Main -and Pearl Street south to the south side of Pearl Street, to the uniform width of seven (7) feet on each side of said Township roadway from the south side of Pearl Street to the north line of the right of way of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, and io the uniform width of twelve (12) feet on each side of a concrete Township roadway from the end of the concrete pavement at the north side of the alley between Main * and Washington Streets north to the north side of Washington Street, to the uniform width of seven (7) feet on each side of said Township roadway north to the north side of High Street, and to the uniform width of three (3) feet on each side of said Township roadway north a distance of 980 feet, placing the necessary marginal concrete and stone curbing, and curbing said roadway between the points aforesaid with concrete and stone curbing. All work done in the making of said described public improvement shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions of such Improvement Resolution, and the details, drawings, plans, profiles and specifications for such proposed improvement, .which are on file and may be seen in the office of the town clerk of said’ town. That the said Board of Trustees has fixed the 10th day of August, 1920, at 7:30 o’clock, P. M., at the Town Hall in Syracuse Indiana, as the time and place for the public consideravon of the proposed improvement, at which time said Board of Trustees will hear all persons interested, nr whose property is Fable to be assessed for said improvement, and will decide whether the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for such impro’-ement will equal the estimated cost thereof. Louie Levinson who was recently operated on for appendicitis, is recovering rapidly now. M r . and Mrs. Harry Doty and daughter Donna of Milford spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Fieldon Sharp. A. J. Forbing, business manager of the Milford Mail, spent Saturday afternoon in Syracuse calling on Editor P. H. Miles. Mr. and Mrs. Kuntz and son Ivan, Mr. Kuntz’s mother and Mrs. Kuntz’s mother, Mrs. Pollock, of Cromwell, were the guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Harkless. John Auer and family and Mrs. Jesse Darr and children called on Jesse Darr Sunday at the McDonald hospital in Warsaw. They found him not much improved. Mrs. M. M. Smith and three children left yesterday afternoon for Akron, Ind., for a visit of a few days. Mrs. John McClougan spent Monday in Goshen. Guy Houston of South Bend Sunday here with his family Mrs Walter Rickey and two children of Elkhart took Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Madif.on McPherson. Mr. and Mrs. A’-lo Fryer and son and Ray Foster of Avilla were here Sunday visiting at the home of Perry Foster. George Schick has purchased the Jacob Rentfrow property in the west end of town and will move the first of September. County Auditor Tom J. Nye spent Monday in Syracuse calling on friends. He is spending a few days at one of the Lake ’.Vawasee cottages. Mrs Emma R’’ke of Fort Wayne came last week and is spending a few days here with her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. W. q trieby. Miss Julia Ott has moved into tne John Snavely property. She recently sold her property at the corner of Lake and Main streets to R. E. Thornburg. Peter Krafting will move from Huntington street into the Nevin McConnell property in Lake street formerly the Elizabeth Akers property. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Miner and son Claude and family of Nappanee were visitors Sunday at the Mrs. Elizabeth Akers home in Huntington street. A. B. Miller and family of North Manchester, accompanied by Miss Neher of Nappanee, came yesterday and spent the day here visiting at the home of his son, A. L. Miller.
