STUDENTS READY FOR ORATORICAL CONTEST Program of Music Included in Entertainment at School Tomorrow Night. The annual oratorical contest will be held in the North Webster High School Gymnasium at 7:30 p. m., Friday night. A program of orations and music has been arranged, and an entertaining evening is being anticipated. * The activities will begin with a mixed choir singing “Prayer of Thanksgiving." This will be follow, ed by a reading by Irene Beezley. The Boys’ Glee Club will sing, “Drink To Me Only With Thine Eyes," followed by an oration by Oren Thorne. “Missouri Walt*," will be offered by a Girls Trio, followed by a reading by Virginia Stoner. The Girls’, Glee Club will then sing “By the Bend of the River" after which Neva Likens will offer a reading. A mixed quartette will sing “Softly Now The Light of Day" and —j._ — -jrrs

Improvements That Help The Town Progress Frank Troxell is remodeling his funeral home. A new open stairway -is being constructed from the main living room or parlor on the first floor to a large room upstairs which is to be finished and made into a room for display purposes. D. L. Walters has had the interior of the Farmers Store, of which he is proprietor, completely redecorated and remodeled. • Work of redecorating the Bre’hren Church is reported, progressing rapidly.
