Sands of the Dunes' along Jtfib southern curve of Lake Michigan are but broken particles of granite boulders, such as is sought for a monument at the park entrance. Boulders ground by glacial and wave action make up the sand deposits, so the huge boulder at the park entrance and the tremendous deposits of tine sands that make up the dunes beaches, are in reidity but different forms f the .;tte carried from the far north by the glaciers, but which have been subjected to different elements during the ages. Boulders suitable for monuments or markers must lie free from splits or cracks. They must be solid. (The one desired for the park entrance should be large enough, so that it may be shaped to suitable form !’<>• sons knowing of such a boulder are asked to write the, conservation department. Applegate and family will move into the house they vacate. Applegate is car inspector at the B. & O. Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Grissom spent ! Sunday’ with her parents, Mr. and Mrs B. F. Beahl in West Unity, 0. Miss Bertha Raymond accompanied them there to visit her family. Grissom brought home a quart of mushrooms picked in Ohio. Mrs Henry Stein an.d Emil, and Eugene Schwan of Fort Wayne; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sorenson and Mrs. E. Schwan of Chicago took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Swenson and son Harold, Sunday. After dinner they attended Mrs. Thomas Searfoss’s funeral.* Mr. and Mrs. filbert Bitner were called to Fowlerton, Friday, by the death of Mr, Bitner’s mother, Mrs. Bitner. She was 93 years old. Raymond Bitner, Harold Bitner and family and Katie, Howard and Herschel Bitner attended the funeral, held' there Sunday . Members of the family who came to the home of Mr. arid Mrs. G.
