SOLOMON’S CREEK Thomas Stewart and family of Lansing, Mich and Stewart Haughthrig and Mrs. Rosa Iden of Cromwell called on Ben Zimmerman and family Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Smith of Detroit, Mich., are here, visiting her parents, Alonzo Rookstool and family. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Firestone accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Levi Berger of Howe motored Logansport Thursday Will Armstrong and family, Merle Armstrong and family of Garrett spent Thursday with Ben Zimmerman and family. The U. B. Conference is in progress at Winona Lake this week and ends Sunday. The many friends of Rev. Beauchamp will be sorry ho hear he is still in a serious condition with a blood clot on the brain. He was injured in an automobile accident several weeks ago. The decendants of the Jacob Juday family held their annual reunion at the home of George Darr and family Sundav. 84 were present to enjoy the bountiful basket dinner at noon and good program * the afternoon. The program consisted of a reading and recitation by Mrs. Albert Zimmerman and son Junior The Dancing of the Frogs by the Juday family and »he cracker feeding contest by the Darr family with each one taking part in the contest blind.folded followed S. Darr of Goshen won the prize. Sanford Juday of near Howe read a poem written by himself telling some of the old happenings of Solomon s Creek which we expect to have published. Earn Juday and Sanford Juday gave special music. ‘The oldest person present was Mrs. Frank Juday, who was 82 years old. It was voted to have the reunion next year at the Pete Deardorff home near Goshen. Mr. and Mrs. Waiter Schimmel of Detroit, Mich, are here visiting relatives. They attended the Juday reunion' Sunday and spent Monday at the Charley Burger home of near Millersburg, and are spending several days with her father, Charley Method and wife of this .place Miss Louise Rathka of Goshen is spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fisher. Eldon Miller spent Sunday with Lewis Firestone. Miss Anna Miller of Goshen spent the week end with Miss Louise Darr. A Young Married People’s Sundayschool class was organized at the home of Raymond Vail one evening last week. The class name is Welcome. Raymond Vail, president. Claud Roach, vice-pres., Mrs. Florence Vail, sec,, Mrs \ elva Lance, Weas. The Sunday school was reorganized Sunday with Dave Holtzinger, supt., John Darr, assistant,, Robert Mcßride, sec., Mrs. Bertha Darr, pianist.' Sunday school Sunday morning. CONCORD Mrs. Alton Tom and three children of South Bend spent a few days at the Everett Toni hofiie. Mr. and Mrs Guy Fisher spent Sunday evening at the Ralph Bfeiswanger home. Miss Ethel Rookstool of Oswego spent the week end at the Chester Stiffler home. Randal Dewart of Milford spent Friday night and Saturday with Wayne Bucher. Those who enjoyed Sunday at the Jacbhf Bowser home were: Mr. and Mrs. Martin Long, Mr. John Bowser and wife, Chauncey Coy and family. They came to spend the day with Mrs. Bowser, it being her birthday. Mr and Mrs. George Mathews of Wisconsin. Mr. and Mrs. George Jacoba of Elkhart, Mrs. Alice Mathews of Syracuse spent Saturday at the Ernest Mathews home. Those who were guests of Mrs. J. A. Fisher Sunday were Bert Crandal of Michigan, Guy Fisher and family. Mr- and Mrs. Bertram Whitehead and daughter Martha spent Sunday at the Lawrence Dewart home . Ernest Mathews and George Mathews and wives spent Sunday in Fort Wayne and attended the Rediger services at the temple. The Intermediate class of the Concord Sunday school enjoyed a weiner roast at the home of their teacher, Bucher on Friday evening.
