Seventy -five agents attended the summer outing of the Northern Indi-' ana Association of Metropolitan Life Insurance Agents held at Sargent’s hotel last Thursday. Dinner w’as served on the Porch. H. R. DuFon of New York, superintendent of the agents, was speaker of the day. Mrs. H. C. LaSalle and two daughters, Martha and Mary, < of South Bend, spent the week end at the Walter’s cottage. Sunday they were guests of Mr. and Mi’s. "Stephen Freeman. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schmidt of Chicago have rented the Hager vottage near Waco for two weeks. Mrs. W. H. Parrin of Lafayette came last week to her summer home in Vawter Park. She plaris to remain for. the rest of the season. Mrs, Ray Deahl entertanied the members of her Goshen Bridge culb at a picnic luncheon Wednesday at her cottage at Lake Wawasee. During the afternoon tables of bridge were arranged and prizes, for high scores were won by Mrs. William Stose and Mrs. George Yoder. The club members plan to discontinue meeting until September. The employes of the Newell Bros, store were entertained Wednesday at the cottage of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Newell at Lake Wawasee. In contests held during the afternoon prizes were won by Mrs. Lulu Eckelbarger and Mrs. Ott Grisamer. A picnic supper was served to about 20, and the remainder -pf the time was spent in swimming and boating. A group of representatives of Armour and Co., of Chicago have rented the cabin at’the Tavern hotel for two weeks. They are Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Von Bahren snd family; Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Winkler and family; Miss Turner and A. M. Fletcher. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Reeves of Columbus entertained a party of guests at the Tavern last week end. Mr. Reeves is of the Reeves Pully Co. Among the guests were: Mr. and Mrs. B, Baker, Miss Robertson, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Henderman and Joe Staley. Mrs. A. W. Early of Indianapolis who comes to the South Shore Inn every summer ,is expected to arrive next Sunday for. a several week’s' stay. Mr. and Mrs. A. Logan and children left for Rockford, 111., Sunday having been guests of Mr. Logan’s [ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schaeffer. The Paul Keck family who have lived in the Vawter cottage for the past month, wish to stay another month at the lake, so have rented the Walter cottage for the month of AugUst, The Myers family of Indianapolis will move to cottage August 1. Eugene Boyt of the South Shore Inn attended a 'dinner party at the home of Miss Christine Armour, in Goshen, last Wednesday. Mrs. Dennison of Elkhart entertained' 12 guests at luncheon at the Porch of Sargent’s, last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Roth have returned to Indianapolis, having spent last I week at the Bishop cottage. Mrs. Burnstein of Goshen entertained a party of guests at lancheon at Sargent’s hotel last Thursday. Otto Teegarden of Goshen was host at a dinner for eight friends at the Porch, at Sargent’s hotel, Friday evening. . Relatives and friends on Lake Wawasee have received cards from Mr. and. Mrs. C. N. Teetor who are reporting having a wonderful time in Paris. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Cohen of Chicago were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Borriaman. Mr. and Mrs. F; L. Brown and family are spending their vacation at their cottage near Emerson’s. E. H. Dunning came from Chicago to spend the week end with Mrs. Dunning. Mrs. Dunning left Tuesday for a two weeks motor trip to Wisconsin lakes. She was accompanied by Mrs. Frank Brown, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. John Teetor, Mr. and Mrs. Hilmer Sender of Hagerstown,, are spending several days at the Teetor cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Teetor and Howard Malott, of Hagerstown, spent the week end on Wawasee. R. Waltz and sen of Beverly Hills, Calif., are spending a few days with Mr. Waltz’s aunt, Mrs. John Teetor. R. D. Hobbs, assistant manager of the Western Acturial Bureau, of Chicago, spent the week end at the Spink Wawasee hotel. Besides the regular Sunday evening dancing at the Spink Wawasee, a special number which entertained the guests on the Marine Porch, was by the Misses Rita and Alta Warsawsky. They entertained with a Spanish dance, piano arid vocal numbers. Mrs. John Eckerle and son Eugene of Cincinnati, 0., spent the week end at the Spink Wawasee. They had as their guests, W. T. McCoy and L. W. Fergusos, of Gary. Mr. Ferguson returned home with the Eckerle’s Monday to spend a few days as their house guest. Mrs. W. C. JBall of Muncie and her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Ball, and Mrs. H. Johnson and son and Mary Lincoln, were guests at the Spink Wawasee last week end. Mr. Ball is of the Ball Mason Jar establishment in Muncie. Last week end, T. F.
