Christmas day, the family were guests of Mr. and Mrs, A. W. Geyer. Mrs. Russell Hinderer and small son Nelson, went to Chicago Christmas mprning, to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levinson. and to attend the wedding of her youngest brother. Louie. The wedding took place in the Levinson home at five o’clock on Christmas afternoon. Mrs. Hinderer then returned home on Thursday. The Levinson’s formerly lived in Syracuse, moving to Chicago three years ago.

It was in 1907, and the board of editors were: Clifford Hoy. editor: Savilla Strieby, assistant editor: Ruth Miles, literary editor; Preston Alites, artist: Glen Gordy, business manager: and Caroline- Slabaugh. circulation manager. A copy of this annual is-at present in the possession of Mrs. Zella Leacock. The paper was theri named the Syracuse Register. The Star Store was then owned by J. U. Wingard. George L. Williams & Co. ran a book store. Frank W. Greene was a registered pharmacist; P. O. Wood and Co. advertised Waw asee Flour. William neckman and F. L. Hoch are eff the few who w’ere in business then, w*ho are in’ business in Syracuse now. Ada L. Stough’s establishment was advertised as dress/ making parlors; J. C. Druckamiller and Son had livery and feed stables. A. W. Strieby was dealer in fancy and staple merchandise; Charles E. Wilcox was funeral director, \. P. Hoffman, oculist; J. W. Rothenberger. undertaker; Dr. S. J. Cunningham, dentist; P. G. Werts, photographer: J. D. McNutt. livery’ and feed stable, andE. E Strieby. general hardware. In the annual’s history of the school, special mention was given to J. P. Dolan, these words being printed beside his picture: “His 18 years of faithful service gives hini a permanent place in the chronicles of the school.” a Quite a great deal has been said of late in the newspapers about the designs which President Hoover draw's on paper while listening to his visitors.
