We wish to, extend our heartiest congratulations. ■ Wawasee has on its north shore a hotel that is recognized as the show place of Indiana. It has been erected recently, and has added immensly to the lieauty of the lake. This hotel known to us all as the Wawasee Hotel is excellent in its appointments. The service and management are always the most courteous and they invite the cottagers of Wawasee to visit, and to use the lounge. Wawasee lioasts another new hotel in Oakwood Park known as the New Oakwooil Hotel. It is built on the site of the old Oakwood, affording a panor--amic view of the entire laka The new hotel contains €3 rooms: two screened porches. 16S feet long. It also boasts of a cafeteria that will seat 220 jieople. Mr. Dan W. Beery, the manager and proprietor extends a cordial invitation to all Wawasee residents to visit his new hostelry. Another bathing beach that is notable is the Kale Island Bathing Beach. It is said to l>e situated- on one of the very finest beaches on the lake. Welcome is extended to all; To afford amusement to its visitors Wawasee has on its shore a l<ea«;h ami amusement park of importance named Ideal Beach. It has on its grounds a splendid toboggan slide, rest rooms, bath houses, cases, etc. A park of. this sort adds to the attractiveness of I Wawasee. Known tv all. who have visited Wawasee in years past, is Buttermilk i Point, but it ts no longer to be called I by that name. W. A. Johnson, who recently took charge of the point. | states that it will in the future. l<e called the Wawasee Rod ami Gun club.l Mr. Johnson contemplates a l>eautyj spot that will be unsurpassed on the lake. Various improvements have been and are being made. The h<«t>l is l>eing remodeled and is to l»e strict--ly modern in every respect.
