About sixtyfive relatives will be present. INNUAL SOLDIERS DINNER On Saturday, December 8, oe •urred the Annual Soldiers dinner. At noon eighty-four people sat down to a sumptuous dinner served in the commodious and pleasant oasement of the Lutheran church. After dinner all repaired to the church auditorimi where a most interesting program was enjoyed by' all. David Harrington of,Wakarusa I acted as chairman of the day in a manner thoroughly enjoyed by the veterans and all present. Int 'renting talks were given by Rex erends McMichael, Cremean, Eiler and Dauner, followed by a historical talk on the G. A, R. I' st «»f Syracuse by J. P. Dolan. Two musical numbers were given by Mr. Polen, and Mr. Marks of Oceola. Ind, G. A. R. commander of the 13th District was a guest of honor. 1 The day closed with the expressed sentiment of all that it wax a day well spent. Next year it is the intention of the Committee to hold this affair on October 2. the date of the granting of the Charter to the G. A. R. post of Syracuse. PROGRAM VeIL~REN DERED A gocd-sfxed audience was present at the Oakland Theatre | last; Thursday evening, the accasion being the first number of a series of entertainments to be given by the school.
