The West End Mrs. Theries Doll and baby arrived from Kalkaska Mich., Thursday, and joined her husband who has been here for three weeks getting their new home ready for occupancy at Crows Nest. Mr. Harve Cory and wife of Kimmell spent Saturday and Sunday with friends here. Mr. Cory lost four acres of onions by the wind storm, Friday. Mrs. Claud Niles and Miss Valeria Edgell spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. W. E. Sheffield. Jacob Rentfrow and family, Mrs. Dan Deeter and Mr. and Mrs. Harve Cory were Sunday guests of Warren Rentfrow. Roscoe Cory who was quite ill with appendicitis is much improved. Milt Rentfrow and family and Jeddie Vorhis and family spent Saturday and Sunday with friends in South Bend. Miss Emma Rentfrow, who submitted to an operation for throat trouble last Thursday at Dr. Krieder’s of Goshen, is getting along nicely. Raymond Vorhis and family and S. A. Bauer and wife were Sunday guests of Sim Bunger’sof Cromwell. Mrs. Ervan Coy, who is dangerously ill of cancer, was removed to a Chicago hospital last week where she was operated upon. Mr. Coy returned home with his wife, Tuesday, of this week, not much improved. Mr. and Mrs. John Holier of Gravelton attended the funeral of Wm. White’s child, of Ligonier, Monday, and on the way home spent Tuesday with Mr. France Grissom and family.
