SNIIWONDEI iinoWuw Buicks Leave Factory In SoHd Trainloads To Every ' Section Os West —Manager J. E. Trotter, of the Indianapolis Buick Branch, is not particularly fond of the overnight journey to the factory at Flint, Mich., but he relates one little incident of last Saturday which be says alone was worth the nip. That was the witnessing of the departure for San Francisco of the biggest solid trainload of motorcars that ever left any factory. One hundred big freight cars, pulled by double-header moguls and containing 502 1915 Buick moter cars, rolled out of Flint Saturday afternoon. According to Mr. Trotter, the spectacle was an inspiring one, calculated to impress any witness with the magnitude of the American motor car industry. The freight cars were double decked, each containing five automobiles. The journey to tfie coast was expected to ’take about six days as the special train had no stops to make except to take fuel and sidings when denied the right of way. “Looking at that tremendous cargo of motor cars,” sak Mr. Trotter, “one could not help but think of all the happiness ant health boxed up in those cars Five hundred automobiles meat recreased business facilities. Last week, according to Mr. Trot ter, the Buick Company shippet 1600 automobiles from the factory They were consigned to every portion of the country. A solid trainload was shipped to Philadephia, making the second shipment of this kind to the Quaker City within a month. The trainload shipment record of the Buick Compapy, has been doubly eclipsed this winter. Four Corners Sie Bauer and Raymond Vorhis of Syracuse called at the home of Crist Darr’s Monday.
