New Paris Route 1. Mrs. Florence Stump Mrs. Lloyd Stump was pleasantly surprised Tuesday evening when she returned to her home. The occasion being her 21st birthday. The evening was spent in dancing, games and cards. At 12:30 all enjoyed an oyster supper. Those present were: Esthel and Mgy Hoshaw, Iva Wysong, Ruby Butler, Jose Banta, Tribly Do wing, Ester Stetler, Dallas Roher, Everet Mills, Homer Kelsey, Elba Collins, John Stetler, Don Musser, John, Earnest, and Dale Juday, Austin Holtzinger and Kenneth Wysong. Wm. Binkley went to Garrett Sunday. Don Musser is helping Mr. Stump at the power house during his absence. Mrs. Frank Jackson Was surprised by her friends Tuesday evening. It being her 61st birthday. Those present were: Mesdames, Butler, Wysong, Bloss, Musser, Lords, Young. Miss Mae Hoshaw is spending a few days at the Roherer home near New Paris. Bay Dowing and wife moved to Goshen Monday. Mrs. M. Heistand spent Thursday with Mrs. F. Barry. Mrs. C. Strine and Mrs. Ora Wysong and son Clair spent Thursday at Millersburg. Otis Al wine is spending a couple of weeks with his mother who is impoving. Several from here attended the K. of P. dance at Millersburg, Thursday evening. Revival meeting will begin Sunday night at the M. E. church at Benton. Rado Cripe of Kendallville, is visiting his parents, Lee Cripe and wife. The young people of this vicinity will give an exhibition at the M. W of A. hall, Saturday night, January 30, prices 10 and 15 cents. Mrs. Edson left for Eastern points to visit a daughter. Mrs. Ed Scott is quite sick. John McQueen and wife who have been visiting Neff Is and Juday’s have returned home. Mrs. L. Stump and Miss Iva Wysong spent Sunday evening at Millersburg at the E. Rookstool home.
