Christian Endeavor in the evening. . Rev. Simon is holding his revival meetings at Burr Oak at this time. Rev. J. Cline of Hicksville, Ohio, spent over Sunday at the home of Sam Juday. B. F. Juday and wife spent Sunday with T. J. Juday and family at New Paris. Glenn Nicolai of Syracuse, took dinner Sunday with Kaleel Juday. Cloy Darr and Cleo Whitmer spent over Sunday in Wakarusa. XA birthday surprise was given Willie Weybright, Sunday, it being his seventeenth birthday. Following are the guests that were present, Arthur Berkey and family of New Paris, George, Mary and Hilda Emmert, Merle, Russel and Cecil Whitehead, Porter and Josie Shiline and Chauncy Hilbish. A tine dinner was served by his parents, Wesly Weybright and wife. Bessie Juday spent Sunday at s the Ringwald home. Mrs. Chas Murser spent a few days last week with her sister, Mrs. H. Miller, of Goshen. A reception was given at the home of Rev, Simon and wife Tuesday evening, in honor of the new members taken in the church during the revival meetings. There were seventy two present. A short programe consisting of reading and music was given and oysters were served as refreshments. All reported a fine time. Quite a number from this place are attending the Evangelistic meetngs at New Paris. While Merle Darr was at the tabernical at New Paris Saturday evening his horse tore loose from the hitching rack and took a round about way home coming through Benton and arrived home about 3.30 Sunday morning all 0. K. Only the blanket it bad on was badly torn, the buggy was not damaged at all.

Faye Mock spent Sunday evening jvvith Mae Shearer. A baby girl came to live with Bert Earle and wife Friday. Ira Rothenberger, wife and Faye Mock were guests of Frank Brown and family Monday. Brent Koher, wife and son Rolland and Elden Stoner and family were Sunday guests of Mary Stoner. Wm. Stocker ‘and Clyde Jones made a business trip to Ligonier Saturday. Sheldon Green, Wm. Knepper and Walter Knepper made a trip ' to Warsaw Friday. The West End Mrs. Jessie Albright came last week to spend some time with her father Mr. Edgel who is ill. Donald Weybright was at North Manchester a few days last week. Jess Strieby and Ralph Wolf have had the mumps the last week. Donald Weybright and Harold Sheffield ate supper with B.H. Doll’s Monday evening. Mrs. Hoch and John McCloughen are on the sick list. . Mr. Alms and son of Warsaw are ill at their home with scarlet fever. Bessie Sheffield returned to school Monday. Mrs. Jesse Mitchel and children returned to their home in Nappanee after spending a few with her mother Mrs. Wolf. Elected Bankrupty Trustee The first hearing of creditors of Jas. McKibben, who recenty entered liabilities of sl6, 397.44 and assets of $8,732, was conducted Friday atGoshen by Sol A. Wood of Fort Wayne, referee in bankruptcy. Richard Yanderveer of Milford was elected trustee,by about 20 creditors, who assembled 1 in response to the call. Examination of Mt. Mrs. Walter Weaver gave a dinner for Mr. Weiugartnes and wife on Monday night. Mrs. John Voorhees and Miss Emilv Voorhees were among the guests.
