Wilmot Mrs. Little left for Etna Green, Saturday. w Mr. Drake and family spent Friday at Warsaw. Mother Hunter has been on the sick list since Sunday. M. Line and wife of Syracuse, called on his brother, Orvil. Wilmot is improving, Orvil Line is building a new barn on his lot. Orvil Line’s entertained Will Warner and wife to dinner, Sunday. Arthur Jones is in Ft. Wayne for the week, expect him home Sunday. Bert Sisterhen of Ligonier, brought the new carpet for the Wilmot meeting house. Mother Myers spent a few days with her* daughter, Mrs. Kilgore, of near Stringtown. S. E. Shock and grandson spent Thursday night with A. Fick and wife, at Crows Nest. Mr. and Mrs. Sparks, Lloyd Shock and wife and mother Huber took Sunday dinner with J. W. Shock and wife. Five were baptized at Wilmot, Sunday, they were, Mr. and Mrs. Hontz, Mr. Baugher, Mrs. C. Miller and Mrs. Arthur Jones. Indian Village. Miss Fav B. Mock. Earnest Coy was the guest of Wilbur Clingerman, Sunday Henry Stocker and wife of Kokoj mo, are visiting with Wm. Stockers, i and other relatives of this place for j a few weeks. John Brown of Elkhart, is painting a barn for Gus. Snyder. Mrs. Leslie Prentice and children called on Susan Knepper, Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Wm. Knepper and Mrs. Fanny Mock spent Saturday afternoon at the home of Elden Stoner’s. Rhea Klingerman was the Sunday guest of Blanch Phebus. Mrs. Joe Miller. Marie and Roy, of Oak Grove, Mrs. Clyde Jones, wife and little daughter. Wava, of near Wilmot, Wm. Mrs. Chester Kitson was called to North Manshester, last Thursday, by the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. Ocher. Election In November There is to be a town election the fiist Tuesday after the first Monday in November, at which time the offices of town clerk, treasurer, marshall and one councilman will be filled. Orange Cory is the retiring councilman; Sheldon Harkless and Abe Hire still have two years to serve. Four Corners Maude Callendar Sundayed at, the home of Wm. Baird. Melvin Stutsman and wife were visitors at Milford, Sunday. Mrs. James Callander and Mrs. Jess Cory were at New Paris, Thursday. Mrs. James Callendar and daughter visited with relatives of near Gravel ton, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Showalter of New Paris, visited Sunday with Christ. Darr of near here. Mrs. Fred Etteline visited with her daughter. Mrs. Wm. Scott, of near New Paris, Friday. Mrs. Linclon Cory and Mrs. Eva Callendar were visitors at the home of Emerald Jones, near White Oak. School opened at the Meloy school house, Monday, with Miss Carris as teacher. We wish a successful year for both pupils and teacher. . A drunk man tried to induce one of our young ladies to go to town with him, but was three times asked to take his departure, but refused. Neighbors were informed of his pre-, sence and came to her assistance with large clubs, but it was not necessary to use them as he left in good time. MICHIGAN LAND FOR SALE.
