The Syracuse Journal INDEPENDENT. GEO. O. SNYDER, Editor and Pnblishr Published Every Thursday at Syracuse Indiana. One Dollar Per Year. Entered as second-class matter May 4, 1908, at the post office at Syracuse, Indiana, under the Act of Congress oj March 3, 1879. By the number of criminal cases each week, Syracuse will soon be able to support a judge. About the only republicans who are not knocking on the expense of registration are those who are serving on the registration board. It looks as though the democrats may reap some benefit fromYhe registration Jaw. It is generally known as a democratic law and for that reason is bitterly opposed by some republicans who even go so* far as to assert that they will not register but will vote in November anyway. Trouble is looked for in St. Joe county, but there is only one answer, the law says register or you can’t vote, so if jou expect to express your preference for the nation’s ruler in November, you had better get busy in October. Open Tuesday Evenings. For the convenience of those having business with the Journal office, who are unable to come during the day, we will be open from 7:00 until 9:00 every Tuesday evening.
